Bo Nix had every bit of the heart Sean White had while also being a much better athlete. I’ll give Sean White the advantage of passing accuracy and pocket awareness, but Bo Nix was better in every other phase of the game. I also think White’s supporting cast was better.

Every bit of this.

I think you mean weakest conference of the P5.

But he went to the highest bidder that still had quality players. All we heard for years were we should do something for these players people making millions of dollars off their hard work. Well you got it now. Trust me no player at any large university was struggling to eat. There was plenty of money available for a college student. NIL will create even more of a divide not less.

Anyone who thinks of what we have seen from both that Calzada is even comparable to Bo at this point has lost their mind.

I hope Calzada turns out great but he’s gotta do it and not some Twitter clip of him tossing a ball around.

You must’ve loved Calzada’s performance against Arkansas

This board is bipolar bro.

They were screaming “anybody but Bo” until he got injured. AUCE05 even said Bo was doing a disservice to his college degree. And now they’re saying Bo getting hurt is why Harsin should be excused for not having a good season. And get this, they also said Kobe Hudson, Bo’s number one receiver, was a bum. But they’ll never say that to admit Bo got the shite end of the commitment when he signed up to play for Auburn. They just want to believe Bo sucks, Kobe sucks, and inferior Calzada and his 56% completion percentage/ more sacks/ more turnovers/ negative rushing yards is a real QB

So the board got overjoyed once they got a real QB- a career second string guy that had worse stats than Bo last year.

So you’re saying you didn’t mind it when Georgia State’s white fullback ripped Auburn’s defense a new one? Or when Tank couldn’t get going? It was only Bo that you’re worried about?

well, seeing as how this thread was exclusively about QBs, I don’t see where the other aspects of that abysmal performance are relevant

why not compare their performances in the only game in which they met head to head?

Not a single time since that game ended has any other position been brought up. Don’t be a coy soy boy.

Neither led their team to a single offensive TD, and only Calzada was at home.

We could just look at their stats- conference or not, to see who is the better QB.

Nevermind Fearless, you were one one of the big TJ Finley fans after the one drive wonder against GSU weren’t you.

nope

but I was one of those questioning why Bo Nix was making the same mistakes in his 28th start that he made in his 1st

I’ve gone through your post history and your post is redeemable:

I like this post by you:

My only real criticism of Bo isn't his fault: he was overrated by recruiting services.

As much as his play has frequently been frustrating to watch, he (with help from his teammates) has produced some genuinely thrilling moments.

I know that the rapid decline of LSU will ultimately diminish the accomplishment of finally beating them in Red Stick, but our offensive output in that game was almost all Bo. Everyone talks about his wild scrambles, but it was his tough run for the 2nd TD that stuck in my memory. That play was the first time I truly felt we had a chance to break the jinx.

Love him or hate him, he's our #1 guy this year, and will likely be #1 next year as well.

As for why Nix still makes same mistakes:

He got sacked 21 times last year. 12 this year. He tied for second in the nation in fewest picks. most of his mistakes really werent critical. just a bad pass here or there. He did lose many weapons from 2019 and protection never got much better either.

I think you turned off Auburn games after Jarrett Stidham was QB.

There’s no way you’re talking about Bo Nix.

Did any of y’all watch the A&M- Arky game? Genuinely curious. If so you’d be surprised he had an arm. All dink and dunk all game. Arky roughed him up too.

I think most are holding out hope that he’s going to be “against Alabama” version.

As fans, I think we have to be realistic with him.

Most fans got carried away with TJ Finley, too, even though Auburn beat the absolute shite out of him and LSU in JHS.

Overthrows on opening drive and INT in opponent's red zone against UGA
INT and 4th qt fumble returned for a fumble vs Texas A&M
play like shite against GA state
leave pocket too early or miss wide open plays that could have resulted in huge gain but ended up going 3 and out.

Other than that nothing game changing.

Yep.. we tried to remind Auburn fans this last year. I don’t know why some people want to get smitten over people that haven’t earned anything yet. I learned my lesson with Johnson and Gatewood.

Nix graded as the best player on Auburn’s offense that day. Like a 76 by PFF. Nix played so much like a warrior with no army that ADAG hugged him after the game. The interception was on Shivers as well. It hit him in the hands. How did Tank do? OL? Did they get their bitching?

He sucked that game. No doubt.

Georgia State…nobody did well that game. Bo missed a throw into the EZ. Literally next play a receiver dropped a pass in the EZ. How did Tank do? I know Jarquez got a bunch of yards late 4th but the running game flat sucked..

Meh. completion percentage is still steadily improving.

Y’all talk bout Bo Nix as if he was prone to mistakes. Nah he only beat his own record of being least prone to make mistakes.

It’s almost like Auburn board is gonna Auburn board regardless of what the data shows. I recommend to you mouthbreathers to not shoot fireworks tonight as y’all would blow a hand up.

quote:

It's in the notes... Auburn's Bo Nix has broken his own school record with 256 consecutive passes without an interception. He ranks fifth in Auburn career passing yards with 6,153 yards. He's third in career pass attempts with 919. He's fourth in career pass completions with 529
