Freeze is a great coach. the only ones making up excuses are the ant-freezeus crowd who are willing to suspend logic and reason and say he is a shite coach and that he didnt accomplish anything

He won a Sugar Bowl. Woo. Other than that, he's been above average as a coach with an offense that is basically the same as it was nearly a decade ago. Plus, even without the recruiting stuff, there's a ton of off-field baggage with the man that is hard to ignore.

I, for one, don't want my coach in the replies of a rando on Twitter at midnight on Tuesday the week of a game because he was busy searching for himself.

eta: the same ones talking shite about Freeze were the same ones using Maliks success at Liberty to shite on Gus. Keep that in mind

Sure, Malik was successful, but he also still had accuracy issues at the end of his tenure at Liberty.

And I never used Malik's success at Liberty to shite on Gus.

Gus was more than capable of being shite on without using the performance of a transfer QB to make that happen.

Malik is relearning mechanics in the NFL and is a project.

Qbs are always working on their mechanics at every level. The coaches that inspire improvement are directly attributable for the Qbs success, no? That is your logic. NFL coaches are making him better, therefore they get the credit.

Why not give Hugh his credit for improving Malik from a backup at Auburn to a successful college Qb that was drafted and now in the NFL?

If you are trying to convince people, maybe come up with a better argument than “Freeze is better than Harsin” because that’s a very low bar to clear.
Well, hate to break it to you, but thats the bar. Hugh is a good coach and an improvement to Harsin. Thats the argument. Its sad some of yall are trying to say different

lets overlook Ole miss accomplishments, or better yet diminish them or outright deny them and only count the time he was at Liberty...then compare Liberty to Dan Mullin at FL
I compared his results at MSU to Freezus at Ole Miss already. Their records were essentially identical, except Mullen didn't get caught cheating.

And Mullen left a historically bad SEC program and got a job at a Big Six school. And finished top 10 twice after he got there.

Here's Dan Mullen's superlatives over his HC career:

- 103 career wins (.628 winning percentage) at P5 schools
- 10 winning seasons (out of 13)
- 6 seasons finishing ranked in AP top 25 (3 at MSU, 3 at UF)
- 2 seasons finshing ranked in AP top 10 (both at UF)
- 7-3 bowl record, including 1-1 in NY6 bowls
- Took two 3-star QBs (Prescott & Trask) and made developed them into NFL starters

List Freezus' accomplishments and prove to me they are superior. I'll wait.

Is going 5-7 progression or regression, because that was Hugh Freeze’s record his last year at Ole Miss.

It included a complete arse kicking by Vandy.

I've never seen anyone claim that above average=good until today.

Was Gus a good coach? He owned Freeze.

Gus also went to the Sugar Bowl as a 5 loss team.

Yes. He was a good coach that never adapted his offense, hence he became an average coach. Which is why we fired him

Yall arent winning this argument no matter how hard you try. Hugh is a good coach. That's a fact. It's why I can destroy your arguments so easily

Is he the right fit should be your argument.

Typically whenever I see a chart like that, it also includes Above and Below Average as options.

But that might just be my line of work. IDK.

How about going from 10-1 to 8-5?

That’s Freezus’ last two seasons at Liberty.

It is becoming apparent that the only criteria they are using to pump Freezus for the job is the two Bama wins 7+ years ago. They’ve got literally nothing else.
