Are you here to tell us what Utah would do? Do you wear magical cathedral pants out there?

That's a big word sport. Seems you are an interloper over on the recruiting thread. That was made pretty clear by a few people on several occassions. Same rule will end up applying here for you too.
ETA: I will apologize for insulting you on a personal level, or in any way that you may have been. Sorry. Truth be told I have enjoyed watching Utah wreck people's seasons before. 2004 must have been ridiculously fun for you

quote:Then why not advocate hiring Mullen instead of Freeze?
So you wish to change the argument to Dan Mullen's record > Hugh Freeze's? Ok, and?
He's a better HC with more accomplishments, a better track record of developing QBs, has no bad NCAA history, had actually moved up in the coaching world instead of down, and isn't currently employed so he would be cheaper to hire.
He's not without his downsides, and we'd likely face ridicule for hiring him, but that would be minuscule in comparison to Freezus. With a good recruiting DC like Boom he would probably be a great under-the-radar choice for us.

That is what has me more concerned about Freeze, there is no doubt he is a vast improvement over who we have now.

Then why not advocate hiring Mullen instead of Freeze?

has no bad NCAA history,
"The NCAA has put Mississippi State's football program on probation for two years and cut two scholarships for the upcoming year for infractions that included recruiting violations."
really Freep. Amazing how little some of yall remember.

If you are trying to convince people, maybe come up with a better argument than “Freeze is better than Harsin” because that’s a very low bar to clear.
thank you. this thread is about comparing potential replacements. everyone knows harsin is unfit for the job.

How real a candidate would Kiffin be? Deion?

I hear you but the 98% that is bad about him is off the field so there’s a lot of holding our nose involved with him. I don’t think it’s worth it.

quote:I think you are overreacting. I followed the link and all i saw what he messaged the girl suing the university. Is that illegal? Did that violate his contract?
One more thing, I hope you’re right if he is picked. Auburn needs you to be right. If we hire him we will be thrown to the wolves worst than anything Bruce ever felt. He just DM’d a sexual assault victim defending the accused because his friend loved the Lord. shite like that show he isn’t fully matured.
At least someone sees something in that sorry sack of shite. Good luck.
Not to mention are we believing all women again? How many times have we been down this road. I'll take a wait and see approach to this new development in the Hugh Freeze saga.

If nothing else shows a lapse in judgement right?
We all have them, we just aren't public figures

I feel like that approach applies to anyone we consider

I don’t believe the girl at all or him because I wasn’t there. It was still inappropriate to DM her. He can support his friend in other ways.

You'd have to pony up twice in theory to get him.
But there have been people saying he wants to leave Oxford and go elsewhere. But if that's true, I'm sure he'd love to be in the same state as his ex-boss who he enjoys poking at.

Deion?
From a certain sect of fans, he'd be a huge hire. From another sect, no chance in hell. There are questions about whether he could replicate his recruiting successes at this level, along with the relative lack of experience.
I've made the comparison that Deion would be like drafting a HS athlete to the NBA. Maybe you get LeBron or KG. Or maybe you get Kwame Brown.
