Of course we will see and all I have been saying. But if we are going keep harping on the recruiting that we all know needs to improve and it’s okay to critique him. It’s also okay to give him credit on the progress being seen.

Harsin is our guy and I support him. He is new and young and he made a big step coming to Auburn. Tomorrow night I hope the crowd is rowdy and he just sits back and thinks this is amazing. This is still his honeymoon season so I’m not writing him off. I stand by my concerns though.
Harsin is a different breed of a coach but I don’t think that means he will do well. He is not as immersed in the game so he cannot be accused of meddling. He also sounds like Saban as far as work ethic goes in front of the camera, and it seems like his character will fit in well at Auburn, but I stand behind my concerns in this thread. He cannot just stand back to oversee inferior players play. I have concerns about recruiting and player development at the LOS. Hopefully they’re put to ease soon by the product on the field, but nothing can be said on here to change that. We have a veteran OL made up of below average to average players this year and the play has been at best spotty- dependent on the talent that we are facing, so Harsin still has a ton of work to do to shore up stability. If he expects his players to play as tough as he acts he should never have lines that play like they are outmatched. So I’m surprised Harsin’s lines at Boise weren’t all that great when his team should’ve recruited better than anybody in his conference given the prestige Peterson put on the program.

All logical comments with some hesitations is understandable, especially with a new coach, from a totally different type of conference upbringing.
I agree and expected the OL to be about what it is, but with a better teaching of how to operate within a new offense scheme. Overall, it has been basically good.
I just don't know how you can equate the line play now or in the future based on toughness, which is what you seem to say in many of your posts about Harsin.
Harsin had a different OL coach at Boise, and a different one here, who is a product more of Bobo's offensive wants.
And as Corch has said, it's one year and mostly 99% of the same avg OL Gus has had in the past 3 years.
We have to see how they recruit OL in the portal and HS, and see over the next 2-3 years if they are better, tougher and able to play with the big boys like ALabama and GA.
I'm not thinking it's a Harsin thing as much as it is a current player thing.
And I reserve the right to change my mind after a couple of years....

I think everyone here has said they like the Harsin hire, the Harsin talk, but some support it with caution there is about to be a huge dynamic shift with Bama and UGA recruiting like they are plus adding two national names in Texas and OKie because they will want to get in on some southeast guys just do have a presence. So recruiting has to be of extreme priority. That’s the only thing really being questioned by the staff so far that I have seen.
So everyone get your panties out of a wad and let’s see how this season turns out. Maybe we can snatch some difference makers and some role players and it’ll be a decent class.

He is lost and probably thinking of someone else. I was off the Gusbus in 2016 and vocally anti Gus since then. I am not ever” in public” and only rarely leave this board. I don’t know about the little brother stuff either. My thing has always been rotational wins against Bama aren’t worth keeping a coach for.
