People keep saying this team will grow and get better... but honestly I don't see it.
This year is moreso about identifying who we will grow with. Some on our roster we will not

I’ve started a thread or two about Andy as a play-by-play guy and I guess the rights holder (Playfly I think) or the Athl.Dept. just doesn’t care about how bad he is because they never seem to want to make a change. He is bad as basketball games but he is downright atrocious in a football broadcast. I don’t get it.

Freeman might be a guy that hangs around and becomes a better decision maker with the ball in his hand. He has elite potential. Needs to become a great defender. He’s already decent. Probably could hold 15-20 more pounds on his frame
^Freeman really does have elite potential. I hope he will stay 3 years and really develop.
With the portal, it guys will constantly tempted to move for more money. I don’t blame them, but we need 2 or 3 year contracts.

If Tahaad would get out of his mind funk, we’ll be ok. He missed 2 wide open 3’s that would have given or expanded our lead, and is just to careless with the ball. We r at our best when he’s driving and gets Murphy and Hall involved.
He may miss Johnni leadership more than anything

It is not a good sign that he started on the bench and was called out by CSP for his lack of leadership since he is the only returning player from last year.
I see three glaring issues aside from no clear leadership on the floor.
1-Piss poor FT shooting. (Has cost us two Q1 wins already, and will probably cost us more)
2-No rim protector is killing us down low, and there is no way to fix that this year. Help side defense is going to have to improve.
3-Too much iso with Hall and Pettiford. This seems to contribute to our scoring droughts when we get away from ball movement and running our offense.
