I don't think you said one year, but someone else did.

We've made progress. More wins in year two than year one. We just got our best recruiting class in forever. (Barbee obviously needs to play more of the freshman, BTW.)

This team has the potential to rally and get a NIT bid this year. I don't understand giving up two games in.

ETA: And I'm not going after just you personally. There are others on here who went full meltdown last night. Single digit wins? C'mon.

He's accountable for the whiffs to a certain extent. It's tough to recruit here because of the AD, not so much the facilities. There were strong rumors that we were in the lead for Trevor Lacy, but somehow that got shot down. He's going to be a stud at bama. I think Barbee is just now learning how to work in the screwed up system that is Auburn Basketball.

Agreed.

I just don't want this to turn into a situation where there is always an excuse.

Agreed.

My main issues are giving up hope this quick and saying that Barbee hasn't made any progress.

If we don't make any more progress this year, then I'll change my view on him.

I completely agree with that statement. I think Barbee is starting to figure it out. I believe this class is going to be good by Auburn standards and he's addressing needs with the three that just signed. That's why I think his "clock" starts this year. At the end of the day, the guys he has been coaching have improved. I think Chubb, Wallace, Payne, and Gabriel have all gotten better under him. The whiffs in recruiting and lack of talent have killed us. I hope that phase is starting to end.
