Something I think about a lot is how many good to great teams we have had that didn't win a championship.
Some of the football teams in the 80s, going undefeated in 93 on probation, 04 Football team.
That 04 football team wins a championship in 99% of college football seasons.
This basketball team does too.
There have been 8 teams since kenpom started in 2002 with a net rating of 35+
4 of them were this season. Just brutal luck and timing.

The time it worked out for us in 19 one of our best players tore his ACl in the sweet 16 and we were on the wrong end of one of the all time hosings

Yep. I almost included that.
In the middle of an all time tournament run and lose our best player in the middle of it.

And would have had a decent but meh Texas Tech in the championship
