Agree, probably 7. Sucks to take a downturn, but still improvement from where we've been since Lebo's NIT team.

Bruce has cashed out for the season. Hell of a recruiter, overrated coach.

Same thing is happening with Anderson. College basketball sucks dick with the new rules. No more 40 minutes of hell, fun basketball.

Yep I think the rule changes have killed what Pearl teams where good at doing. The result is scoring a bunch and giving up even more.

Whether it is the rule change or what, this isn't really excusable

Alabamas dumpster fire team is 9-5 in conference. Auburn has lost more games in conference by double digits than Alabama has lost total.

I'm not saying it is. He has to adjust what he's doing because it's not working. I just think that's the reason.

Yep. All this talent and we will be only 1 or 2 games better in the SEC than last year. NIT looking iffy.

It isn't. But Alabama gets fortunate conference scheduling and bores people to death. Guess that's what the new rules are trying to do. Might as well do the same thing to football. No more HUNH. Just slow, boring crap that doesn't require much effort.

I'm not thrilled, but I'll try to save my judgment for next season.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Pearl is finishing Year 3 here at Auburn, correct?

As in almost 3 full years now?

I am watching the sunset off Perdido Key, and am about to walk across the street to pick up my Shrimp and Sushi.

I am over this sport for another year.

He doesnt teach discipline, defense or how to rebound. He is known for his full court press...where is it? Has it ever been effective?

Hell, he even let Bowers be a point guard last year.

There is just a long string of poor coaching decision and results that are hard to deny.

I'm beginning to lose faith. It's hard to watch this team and not think about how well they could play if they had just a little bit of discipline and determination on D

You can't full court press w today's rules. All the coaches known for it have suffered big time, Pearl, Mike Anderson, Shaka Smart

At Tennessee they were top 25-50 in both O and D every Bruce year so it clearly worked at one point

He was a lot more effective than Patrick Keon after we lost Canty and Dunans

He literally was choosing between Bowers and a walkon who got torched frequently

This is absolutely true but you didn't give the examples that show this
