Wild to think about adding Wiley, Mitchell, and Okeke to this roster next season

That UCONN matchup is looking more winnable. They have dropped their first 3 games

They've only played 2 official games, so they are 0-2

While I feel better, that game is a month out and a big road game. Will be our first big road game in a truly hostile environment

It was a little hostile last night with how rowdy some of those GSU fans were

They were actually really annoying, especially the guy who kept yelling at the ref after every foul

Those upperdeck GSU fans got pretty loud

You mean their Coach Hunter?

Seriously though, they got shafted on some calls. A lot of whistles were blown on both sides but their key players were in trouble early

EKU this Thur along with S Car Upstate should be our 2 easiest game OOC games. They are led by last years Ohio Valley Conf Fr of the year 6'9 235 Soph F Nick Mayo. Last year he averaged 14.5 pts 4.9 reb and so far this year he is averaging 22 and 7.5. Only other notable players are 5'11 Fresh G Asante Gist @ 18 pts/game and 6'0 Sr G Isaac McGlone @ 12 pts/game.

I'm really looking forward to next Tue and Wed against Texas Tech and hopefully Purdue so we can see what this team looks like against other legit P5 competition.

Texas Tech

If we beat them, they will be a RPI gift from the gods. They should end up ~top 50-75 RPI pretty safely, even if they go 6-12 in conference.

hopefully Purdue

I just hope we don't get steamrolled in this game

Rumor is that Wiley is trying to December graduate which would make him Eligible when he enrolls (January)

Bruce pulled this off with Jarnell Stokes at Tennessee

Impossible. Someone who shall go unnamed has assured us all that Wiley is way behind and will to have to go to prep school to qualify so he won't be here until Fall 2018. He has sources.

I love how he said that about a week before this early enrollment rumor got started

I wish the UConn matchup was against a really good team. I'd like to see our guys get tested early and be ready for conference play.

We should have plenty of matchups against "really good team[s]"

We play Oklahoma, Texas Tech and potentially #15 Purdue. OU/TxTch are projected #4/#5 in the Big12

Then we play @UAB, which may be one of the most difficult OOC games we have. They return 4 starters from a team that went 26-7, all who are upperclassmen

UAB's starting PG tore his ACL in their first game, they lost to Furman by 10 last night, and they have a 1st year HC who was still in college 10 years ago.

People who follow them close are pessimistic about their chances against Auburn. Especially considering we beat them last year with a lot less talent than we have now

That definitely changes things, didn't see that yet. I wouldn't count them out though given the amount of experience they have on that roster

Is New Williams hurt again? He hasn't played in either game

Per Ryan Black New Williams is not hurt he's just the 11th man in a 10 man rotation.

Apparently he's even behind the white caboose

I expect him to move back closer to Cali next season

New William is in a shitty position this year, he can only really play PG/SG which is where there are solidly entrenched 2Deep

White Canoose likely isn't ahead of him for real games unless he got injured again

Fair enough, just would really like to see these guys get a few shots at Final Four caliber teams. Get some exposure to how talented guys come together and become a great team. With all these 4-5 stars we have coming in, they need a role model.

Purdue should be good. Played Villanova tough. Okie without Hield isn't near the challenge. But, they'll help our RPI. There's always Kentucky though. Wish we played them twice.

I mean, there aren't very many of those teams out there by definition.

Not like Duke/UNC/Arizona type schools would play us anyways at this point. We are extremely low profile
