Vandy is all over the place. They only scored 48 against MTSU
Anxious to see how Ole Miss fairs against UK tomorrow

He is going to be a huge matchup problem for us. I believe Wiley can handle him down low but he has no chance defending him on the perimeter. Purifoy can handle him outside but is physically outmatched down low. If we have a zone in the arsenal this is the type of team we would use it against.

Lost by 20 to LSU, however

Auburn opens -3 point fav over UGA

Kenpom has us 1 point favorite, 51% Win prob

Teamrankings gives us a 64% chance to win. I don't know how their formula works, but home court is clearly a big factor.

Houston is a pretty good team this year. Kenpom has them around top 50
Idk I think only scoring 12 points in an entire half has more to do with UConn and their current depth issue than with how good Houston is. We're a better team than Houston IMO

we get them at home between their loss to Oakland and them looking ahead to USCe.

I think a huge advantage for Auburn in this game will be our tempo. Both Maten/Frazier average 30+ minutes for UGA, beyond them they don't have a true scoring guard or post player to fill the void.

I didn't really mean looking past us I just meant we get them at home in the middle of a tough stretch for them

Yet Auburn is ranked 31 spots behind UGA. KenPom is a huge frickery if you ask me.

Home court. Full house. Home court. Full house. They'll need it, because as a team they played like shite in CT

Why are so many of you fixated on Kenpom? Their rankings aren't all that useful until well into conference play. Their statistics made them famous. They're not replacing the RPI or eye test any time soon.
Should I remind you how high the shite show in Tuscaloosa is ranked?

Not fixated, just voicing my opinion that I think it blows.

Well they could disband the overall ranking formula, but like I said before, it's more accurate than the RPI every once in a while. Other times it's useless.

Not sure why everyone is bitching about Kenpom ranking us low. People need to stop shitting orange and blue rainbows and realize this, when grading on actual results/performance we deserve it
We have one good win TxTch and two decent wins OU/UConn, none were by large margins
Meanwhile we had very close games against vastly inferior teams, got blown out by Purdue and lost to Garbage BC

Also Kenpom is to be used to predict matchups not a ranking of resume.
So for example, even if we blocked the BC tipin, our ranking change would microscopic. The fact that we played poorly against a cleary inferior team was evident regardless of win by 1 vs L by 1

Somebody gets it. We look better than we have in previous years, but this team still doesn't look like an NCAA tourney team by any stretch.

We definitely have shown flashes of being a quality tournament team. That's the thing though, it has just been flashes and nothing more.
To suggest we will develop consistency and continued improvement is only an optimistic opinion, not a foregone conclusion
I believe we will continue to improve, but based on objective stats/metrics you can't make that determination
