Watching Freeze at Media Days. Said Alex is battling an intestinal issue and they're trying to get him healthy.

Any word on what's going on? Is it serious?

something along the lines of Chrons or Diverticulitus. He lost a lot of weight and is trying to get back to normal.

A brutal thing to have to deal with, let alone try to be an athlete while having it.

I heard it was Crohns disease which is an inflammatory disease of the small intestine.

The Rundown from AU rivals site gave an update on McPherson. New medications are working and it is very unlikely that surgery will be required. However, it is highly unlikely he will be participating in Fall practice, but there is a chance he could return to the team mid-season.

Takes a while to get under control. Better if he gets it under control and then works with the dietetic staff to work with what will work with him.
