You are 100% correct that Gus gave us some of the best memories in Auburn history.

You are 0% correct to relish in the teams’ implosion today.

OH im not. It was one of the worst things Ive ever experienced since 1983 when I started my fandom.

Alcohol helps but it sucks big time. My worry is that we are in for a lot of this in the next few years.

I will always believe that Gus was let go because we were regressing and not developing players, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

I’m HOPING this changes with the new regime but I must admit, I am not as confident in Harsin as I was before this. I REALLY thought he was smarter than what he showed today. No joke.

Stop your crying you pussy. I am not rooting against Auburn. I was a fan before you were probably born.

Man up and stop your crying. Its bad now but it will get worse before it gets better. Thats when happens when you rebuild.

And that is what we are doing. If they want to rebuild, they will have to give Harsin a few years. Problem is, Auburn is not typically a program that will do that.

Sorry your feelings are hurt

How long was Gus employed at AU? What about Tuberville? We give coaches plenty of time, and plenty of money, too much of both really.

I hope so but both those guys had some early sucess. It would not be fair to Harsin if we didnt. When you get rid of a head coach, you are basically starting over. A few coaches may stay but you mostly lose all they figure heads. We lost what Defensive momentum we had when we sent Steele packing. That is hurting us the most right now. Its going to take a few years to possibly get that back. Everyone needs to understand that when they are yelling to fire the head coach.

Everything is affected. Recruiting, fan support, players that are on the team, everything.

you've been a straight up bitch for years now. Crying about people shite talking Gus, crying about people not agreeing with you.

You're absolutely taking pleasure in the loss just so you can rub noses in Gus haters. You've been doing it every chance you get this year.

I agree. I’m not saying to get rid of harsin, but he’s probably made some pretty poor choices in hiring two very bad ex-head coaches. I’d say Mason needs to go immediately, he can’t give up that many points and gain respect, and he has zero recruiting connections down here. Give Bobo one year to recruit and call plays or be gone.

lost to SMU by 27 points. My buddy said Gus would have the same record this year at auburn as Harsin...okay. I said he would have the inverse record 4-6

Why do we keep doing this (Gus comparisons)?

I hope UCF makes the playoffs after expansion but I want Auburn to get their asses in gear and back on track.

You guys need to stop comparing these guys. Its not even close to comparing. None of it matters. Gus is gone now.

Im not saying Harsin was a bad hire. Im just saying the same thing I said when they decided to fire Gus. YOU ARE STARTING OVER. FROM SCRATCH. Thats what happens when you do that. We did not start over when we hired Gus. He had just left.

When we hired Harsin, we lost Kevin which started the Defense from scratch. We went from a Gus offense to a pro style which is huge. Gus's style of offense (the real one) allows a program that doesnt have the talent to play with more talented teams. Now we are running the same offense as everyone else so we will need the players to stack up in order to be sucessful

Its like starting a new job. You dont know what you will get and you lose all your vacation time. Look at Tennessee. It was a concern.

It was time to move on from Gus obviously. Thats what everyone felt. In that case, there will be growing pains.

I’m with you Lanier. I understood complaining right after the hire and when last year’s recruiting class was close to 80th or something. But eventually we’ve got to move on. It’s like dumping a girl because you know you can do better and then constantly talking crap about her.

Agree. Guys cant seem to let it go. They basically bring it up every chance they get. Good and bad.

At this point, everyone should move on. Today, the State meltdown hurts the most. But the biggest issue is the lack of talent being brought in. That is not something that can happen multiple years. If you think the last couple of years were bad, let what we are seeing now happen for 3 years in a row. Will take a long time to recover from that.

Ole Miss is gonna beat TAM and we are going to have to live with that fricking shite

It has happened multiple years. That’s why you’re seeing what you saw today…

That was out of the hands of the fans. Gus had a decade to himself to succeed at Auburn and didn’t. He got away from what worked for him. And he needed to go.

I don’t like the Harsin hire right now. The guy seems to keep himself in shape but may not know how to coach teams and coordinators.

Hire Hugh Freeze.
