Corch, I think he should be moved to 1B. Hits to well and the C will eventually wear on him.

Who else we got

Corch can chime in but McMurray needs to stay at first. He's very good defensively and hits well too. I believe Butch put Irish at DH for Wichita St and started freshman Cale Stricklin behind the plate. Hall has been DH and has done well so don't know if they would bench Hall for Irish but it's possible if Butch is worried about Ike behind the plate.

Butch still seems to be working through a few positions.

Infield:
Fabian was replaced by Caden Green in one or maybe two games already this year but I'm thinking Fabian stays as the starter for third. Green also replaced Hernandez yesterday at 2nd and I could see this being a position Butch is trying to find the right guy. Hernandez has only 1 hit in 17 at bats . Caden doesn't have a hit this year either in limited action but only hit .211 last season. Can't see anybody replacing Weiss or McMurray at this point. Catching is another place they need to work out. As Corch mentioned, Irish is not LaRue behind the plate but hits too well to leave on the bench. Stricklin got a look yesterday but not sure what's up with Carter Wright.

Outfield:
Seems set with Maners, Stanfield and Pierce.

Pitching:
It's over my head to evaluate but I think the staff looks pretty good so far.

I don’t know the solution. I guess he could replace Bobby in right field next season or maybe even LF. He seems much more like a corner outfielder than a catcher or 1st baseman. Depends on glove and footwork maybe 3rd baseman but that’s a tough tough position swap from catcher

I will chime in here.

Irish will need some time off. Especially in possible DH situations or even late night Fridays and early Saturdays in the league.

Now if that means Starting on the bench and being available as a pinch hitter or being a DH introduces different options.

Now you have Fabian or Green that can play 3rd
You have Fabian, Green and Hernandez that can play 2nd

McMurray has to play 1st....No reason to DH him with others available. Peirce has to play RF.

I think Fabian is too good of a talent to not start and pick things up which I think he has. I think Fabian could be a key to this lineup.
