Someone started a thread on On3 about Tank being injured. Collarbone?

I’m just the messenger.
I think it was addressed and said he'll be fine. Regardless, that is a deep position group. I'm on record not being goobed out over Tank. His Fred Astaire nonsense drives me nuts. Put your foot in the ground and go.

The biggest takeaway I took from that 16 game was that our D looked lightyears better and maybe the Steele hire would work out after all.

A poster asked if he was injured with a collarbone injury. No confirmation or denial yet in that thread

To be fair, you can’t really put your foot into the ground and go behind Auburn’s OL because there’s nowhere to go

The OL actually wasn't as bad last year as people think. Not great but not bad.

Mike G is right, but I don’t know what he’s saying about the last year stuff. I don’t think anybody said Harsin was above reproach, and they certainly didn’t say that over playing Bo over Finley.

Meh. They did pretty decent against the Arkansas’s of the SEC. They didn’t get any push or give the QB any time against UA, UGA, and A&M though.

We live in a world where you can not judge anything by how you play UA or UGA. It’s the haves and have nots. Maybe NIL will change it but Emmert gave those two teams a leash to be ahead of just about everybody. The fact we played UA to overtime was an incredible achievement and shows you just how much the iron bowl still means

Against Georgia our offensive line graded as such from PFF:
Trox 64.0
Hamm 61.4
KJ 60.5
Council 50.7
Brahms 50.6

Top performers:
QB Bo Nix 80.3
RB Jarquez Hunter 71.3
TE Luke Deal 70.2
RB Tank Bigsby 66.3
WR Kobe Hudson 66.2

Against Moo State:
**ALSO OF NOTE: PFF graded pass block as the offense's best trait yesterday, run block the worst.

Arky:
Zierer 57
Hamm, 64.1
KJ Jones, 59.9
Council, 59.7
Brahms, 54.1
TROX is at 60.8 for the season.”

So I take that back. They wasnt even graded to be decent against Arky either.

Even if a small group of fans believe this the rest of the group holds the coaches accountable for rivalry games.

Picking and choosing games in this context means you lost.

I can give you season averages if you like. They’re still not decent. .

Our best OL against Bama and A&M was Brodarius Hamm and he signed with USFL. Our best graded run blocker w/ 350 snaps was Tashawn Manning and he is at Kentucky this year. Zierer graded at 47 against Bama.

Sure we graded little better pass blocking than run blocking but for the most part anybody grading in 60s is considered replaceable.

Our hope this year is weight room. We have to be able to move people.

161 yards rushing per game is decent. If that’s what you mean. Not good, but decent. In the perfect alpine world we’d average 250 rushing and pass for 200 to our tight ends.

Our 2015 offense which was our worst offense since 2012 with only a fraction of the talent as last year only had 195 rushing yards a game bro. It wasn’t more effective than last year but then again, nobody respected the pass, nor the run for that matter.

Easy cheesy. I didn’t insult the car you drive.

I’m just saying 161 yards per game isn’t bad. Bowden’s last year was bad. Harsin isn’t terrible. Yet.

After watching your link , I think the best scenario IS to use the first 2 games as the barometer as who starts against Penn St.

Let Finley start Mercer game, let who’s behind him start 2nd half, and 3rd qb 4th qtr.
2nd game, let 2nd qtr start, bring in Finley 2nd half, only use 3rd string if blowout inn4th qtr.

We should have a good idea who should earn start against Penn St.

Is this not practical?

No you need to name a starter and use the 1st 2 games to get in sync with the recievers and get used to game speed.

Pretty sure this was Tubs' strategy in 2008 with Kodi and Chris Todd.

Didn't work out then, doubt if it will work out if Hars tries it now.

Better to name a starter and a clear #2. Use the first two games to get both of them experience, but know that your #1 will still be #1 (barring either a complete meltdown or injury) when Pedo State comes to town.
