By far the most impressive interview I’ve read in a while, probably ever for me too. He had an average Joe flow that spoke very clearly on what he was saying.

We are very lucky to have Ike in our corner. I hope his family moves close so we can keep him a while.

JGT shared yesterday that Nick Brahms didn’t participate yesterday. Cough Pettifogger Cough. Now he’s saying he doesn’t like what he’s hearing. He could be out for a while…

I don’t get it to be honest. Jhead and JGT are hush hush on rivals

Hoke saying he had minor surgery on both knees in June after surgery in January and he was out yesterday to manage repetitions….but then he says his status for the season is in question.

A rando says his knees are shot, experiencing chronic pain. If that’s true then I’d walk him out the locker room myself. He will have kids one day he will want to play with.

Who expects Ashford and Calzada to get more reps with the 1's this week in practice.

I do and I expect a rotation of all 3 Qbs with the 1's and 2's in Fridays scrimmage. We should have a pecking order of the 2 deep by Sunday.

I wonder how a kid like this isn't recruited by everyone. I didn't really follow his recruitment so I'm guessing his measurables (raw speed?) or something similar were amiss. Lucky for AU. I'll say this... Harsin has a good reputation for talent evaluation ala Tuberville.

I was told that Finley and Calzada would flip roles on Friday, with Calzada going mostly with the 1's and Finley with the 2's an 3's. IDK how you can leave Ashford out if he's really been as productive as it seems so that might shake up the snow globe.

Hoke (on3)

per Wesley Steiner -
quote:

A lot like Bo Nix, Robby is a pain in the butt, I’m not going to lie. Your defenses are designed to handle 10 players, you don’t expect the quarterback to scramble. The quarterbacks creates extra gaps in the run game. Robby has definitely been a problem, and it’s put me on high alert every time he’s in the game. He might scramble and make plays.
quote:

"The other two quarterbacks are just as deadly, just as accurate as they usually are. People are going to bash on T.J., but he’s a good passer. I’m not going to have anyone bad mouth him. He’s a good quarterback. Zach Calzada is just as good. They’re all really good quarterbacks. I have no idea who will play, I just know they all give me problems, but the one I hate the most is Robby because he runs. You want to be in position to contain him. It’s not frustrating to see him scramble — it’s like, OK, are we doing what we need to do so he can’t get those extra yards?"

me: just enjoying the race, it's football, may the best man win

Steiner press conference

Apparently he timed the QB cadence and was able to jump the snap that caused the 95 yard TD. He speaks very glowingly about his teammates.
