Sadly, Bama success has changed our outlook. They bring in NIT Oats and start playing like he’s Saban. Can’t have that shite, right?

I’ve been a basketball fan since Kyle Davis, Marquis Daniels, Marco Killingsworth, and Lewis Monroe.

Ride on your high horse right on outta here.

Green would be the best pg of the Barbee era by 10 million miles. Point Shaver and Josh Wallace ? Denson was solid but would have been a role player on a tourney team

This is a losers mentality. It’s not before Bruce, Bruce has been here for almost a decade and just bc Malcolm fricking Canada once played here doesn’t mean I have to be happy with watching KD and Wendell pretend they’re James Harden and Steph Curry out there when in reality they’re closer to rec league players

Yeah I just don’t stand for this Wendell slander. He was atrocious tonight but has proven he belongs.

Did y’all see the amount of fans at the Vandy game? It’s pretty clear everywhere that our expectations are up. Who cares about the Jeff Lebo standard at this point.

Well I won’t stand for this revisionist history about Chris Denson not being a stone cold baller

My expectations were pretty high preseason so relative to that it’s a huge disappointment. But after it became apparent Westry and Traore were not gonna contribute close to how I expected I just have kinda mellowed out a bit about this season. Trying to enjoy it for what it is and hoping we make the tourney. If we had like 3 seasons like this in a row I’d be pretty frustrated but it just kinda is what it is with this team

Denson was solid for sure, he rarely ever played the point though. Freshman Shamsid-Deen ran like 30 minutes a game Denson’s breakout season. It’s a miracle we won any games that year

Not gonna lie, I went back and looked at Bruce’s first few rosters for the heck of it and about had PTSD. I don’t have the heart tonight to look at pre-Bruce teams.

Bruce’s second team was every bit as bad as the Barbee teams. Had some bad injury luck and at least we had freshman Bryce who had some moments but man that team was a joke

Remember Cinmeon Bowers running point?

Bruce was really on the cutting edge of positionless basketball and having 6’9” ball handlers

Eta: luckily for me that was the top shirt in my auburn box of clothes I refuse to get rid of. So many big blue bookstore, anders and jm gameday shirts from 01-07 and other random auburn clothes.
