KN caught up with Chandler Morris this week. He said he’s known Gus since he was a kid and called Auburn a dream school.

He probably won’t make a decision until February when he signs. Looks like Oklahoma will be the favorite

His team won big last night in the playoffs. He was 16-25, 281 and 5 TDs passing and rushed for another TD

They don't have any 5*s lined up after their recent Heisman runs?

Yep. They’ll have 5* Spencer Rattler. He’ll be in year 2 next season as a RSFr or SO

Norman is 3 hours from home for Morris and I’m guessing he’s learned his lesson about going to a school for a coach on shaky ground

KN is hearing that former commit Andy Boykin likely ends up in Juco.

I don’t have the stats for Tank tonight but I think he’s just shy of 200 yards and 4 TDs

KN says Chayil Garnett’s team which features Garnett, a 5* RB, and a top 50 WR recruit was completely shut down by the opponent’s defense last night

Garnett was benched in the 4th but the backup didn’t do any better.

One on one with Kobe Hudson:

quote:

AUC: First of all, what does it mean to have a chance to play in the All-American Bowl?

HUDSON: It's a blessing. It really is. I'm being recognized as one of the top players in the nation so I just want to go out there and have an impact on the game.

AUC: What's your goal going to be at the game and really that entire week -- to have fun or to get better ... or both?

HUDSON: Little bit of both. You know, I just want to go out there and show I've still got it at receiver (he played quarterback the past two seasons at Troup). Just let people know I can do it well.

AUC: After the game, you go straight to Auburn as an early enrollee. When will you get on campus?

HUDSON: The next day.

AUC: Given that the game is so close to your arrival date at Auburn was there ever any thought to skipping this event?

HUDSON: No. They showed their commitment to me and I showed my commitment to them. I was the first player in the country to get invited. It's an honor. I'm glad to do it.

AUC: When is your official visit to Auburn?

HUDSON: I'll probably take it for the Iron Bowl.

AUC: You've been committed to Auburn for well over a year so what do you want to experience on that visit?

HUDSON: I don't even know because I'm locked in. Just to have fun, really.

AUC: Have you been recruiting any guys?

HUDSON: Yes sir, I'm working on some guys, like (4-star 2021 receiver) Julian Nixon. I'm working on him.

AUC: We've heard Auburn is in pretty good shape with him. Would you agree with that?

HUDSON: Yes, I would.

AUC: Working on anyone in the 2020 class?

HUDSON: (Four-star quarterback) Jacolby Criswell. I want him to come. I played with him a lot at (The Opening Finals this summer). We were on the same team. He's pretty good. We've been talking a lot. I haven't talked to him about visiting, I'm just telling him we need him.

AUC: How do you feel like the 2020 class is coming together?

HUDSON: We're going to do pretty good. We're going to click on a lot of cylinders.

AUC: One of your fellow receiver commits, Ze'Vian Capers, is getting pushed by North Carolina. Think he's solid to Auburn?

HUDSON: He ain't going nowhere.

AUC: Has Auburn quarterback Bo Nix made the progress you hoped to see from him this season?

HUDSON: Definitely. I knew Bo was going to make the progress. He's a freshman. I mean, we've been lacking at receiver for a couple years so when he gets the dudes, he's going to click.

AUC: You're officially done with quarterback. How excited are you to get back to receiver, your natural position?

HUDSON: I've been working out there since we lost. I've been getting back in the groove. I'm ready to go and transition back.

AUC: Will we ever see you play quarterback again, even if it's only for one snap, at Auburn?

HUDSON: Maybe. Put me in there as like a Wildcat or something.

Hudson is locked in and ready to go to work for Auburn.
Interesting that he thinks we are lacking at receiver when we seem to sign decent to large classes every year.

Can you find his stats this year? I read on 247 that Morris has more passing yards in one game than Garnett all season and that cannot be true.

That’s true

quote:

Garnett: 28 of 57 for 394 yards, 3TD, 2INT 278 rushing with 5TDs. He missed some games with an injury

These are his season stats before last night’s game.
