I don’t really care that TigerPaw is taking a break. That dude’s life, #yolo and all. But it would be nice to edit the first page and thread title from time to time
Our recruiting had slacked a bit the 2 & a half years he ran the thread. Things have picked up since he left. I like the guy but cool with him being gone (Not to be taken seriously).

I'm excited about the class, but unfortunately we might be doing what we did in 2009-2010 but look at the 2020 commits and leans for some of our opponents...you could fill and entire roster with the kids committed/leaning bama, uga or Clemson before you get to the highest rated Auburn commit/lean. We need to start recruiting like those teams circa 20NOW.

We can’t worry about that stuff... we’re recruiting right now at a pace that is probably slightly above our historic average... which is about all you can ask for considering we’re in year-six of our current HC and coming off a mediocre season.

Agreed if we could get Tank and Webb...with maybe a surprise "Big Dog" then it'd be a heck of a class.

We need to do better at Roster management, talent retention, talent development, & offensive talent usage & beat those teams on the field so we can recruit like them consistently.

I like Ojulari almost, if not as much, & we lead with him.

Just filling out the rest of this class with our top targets and it looks like this:

18. Tank
19. Brian George
20. Tennison
21. Dennis OR Pouncey
22. Zykevious Walker
23. Andy Boykin
24. Jeremiah Pegues
25. Phillip Webb
26. BJ Ojulari

Obviously there’s some work left to be done on Webb and Walker but the rest of these guys we’re in great shape for.

Some of that is true. Some of it is fiction. With the current transfer rules, dont look for us to improve out "talent retention". Kids are going to leave if they dont play. Its just a fact.

And as far as beating teams on the field helping with recruiting, I dont really believe that anymore. Look at our recruiting after big seasons. 2011, 2014? Its not like those big years really blew out our recruiting. We are probably not spending as much money recruiting as others and that doesnt help but overall, we are recruiting above our average right now, just as lowspk said above.

As good as we are doing recruiting, our damn rivals are doing better. Hard one to swallow.

I see the transfer stuff as a net positive. Generally, guys that aren’t playing/play well are the ones that are leaving and we’re able to clear up those scholarships for positions of need.

I'd swap him out for McKinley Jackson. I think he is higher on the staff's board & we are in the thick of it with him. Took a secret visit to AU the day before the picnic.

If we finish with these guys then our class this season would have been good enough for 5th last year.

Just something to watch for as we attempt to figure out where this class will end up. My early guess is we’ll be in the 7-9 range

Where are we thinking on him. 50/50 chance?

I think almost everyone expects him to announce Auburn on Friday. Including the 247 guys from UGA and SCAR

I think sometimes that the case but not always. For instance Malik Willis leaving was probably a positive for us (and him) but if Gatewood or Nix leaves, its a negative.

IT would be nice to keep some of the talented guys around so when its time for them to play, they have some times in our system vs just bringing in new guys all the time because of transfers.
