So Morris is doing more for Pappoe to UT than Pappoe is doing for Morris to Auburn.....great

UT expected to suck and met that expectation. We expected to be good and have sucked. One is much easier to pitch.

From JLee
quote:

Bottom line from a source close to Pappoe's recruitment: Pappoe signs with Auburn if Malzahn/Williams stay at Auburn. Pappoe signs with Georgia if Malzahn/Williams are fired.

Haselwood only stayed for the day on Saturday. KN doesn’t think that’s a good sign (considering this is his OV)

Haselwood and his family arrived Friday and stayed Friday night. His dad had to be in Atlanta on Sunday so they left earlier. KN says Haselwood plans to come back on an unofficial visit again

KN thinks it's becoming an AU/UGA battle for 4* CB Tyrique Stevenson. MIA seems to be fading. Apparently he loved AU's campus & how chill it is. Shaun Shivers was his player host and Stevenson liked fact that S. FLA kids are making an impact on team. Also thinks he could play early. Rated visit a 10/10

That would be a hell of a pull tho I think he's a lock to UGA

Any chance we can jump on John Emery Jr?

Highly doubt it. For whatever reason his interest in AU was brief in the spring then went away. Seems all LSU to me

But good chance he committing to LSU will really help AU with Cain

Nakobe Dean told KN his visit was a 10/10. Had all his questions answered. Loved the environment and got a chance to really learn about engineering program. Asked if AU I'd a factor and said they are "the biggest factor" lol

OV to UGA next weekend whose thought to either be the leader or a close 2nd to Bama. Decision coming DEC 19th

He’s going to UGA. Dean is a good kid, never has anything negative to say about anyone. Wish him nothing but the best

I watched Cain live the other might. He wasn't as dominate as the kid going to Bama. But Diffently better than what we have.

Sanders is a monster & I think that's part of the reason some are turned off by Cain. Cain's a very good back himself but was over ranked early in his career & plays with maybe the best back in the class (personally I have Emery over Sanders but it's splitting hairs). When you watch both play in same game it's hard not to be a little underwhelmed by Cain when you see Sanders

But he would be a very good in Auburn's offense. I think someone said it earlier in this thread but he is comparable to Ben Tate though I think he might be a tad more explosive. Would be ecstatic to sign him in this class

FWIW Rusty think Tennessee is making a serious push for both Owen Pappoe & Jadon Haselwood right now....

I think they are. I think this simply comes down to whether or not Pappoe believes T-WILL will be his coach for the next 3 seasons. If he does then he will sign with Tigers. If not, he will go to Vols

Apparently, UGA isn't even recruiting Pappoe anymore that's according to Grayson recruiting coordinator & the UGA 247 guys

At this point, if AU plans to keep Gus then they just need to come out with some public support. This in between game hurts more than anything. I'm guessing tho they just aren't sure yet because if he gets absolutely murdered by UGA & BAMA they might be able to still make a move

I think it is more public perception than reality. There is zero talk of Gus being fired around the Hoover program. The chicken littles of our fanbase do more harm than good.

Agreed. We have to stock the cupboard for the new coach after next year if not Gus.

Hopefully Gus can keep it close against Georgia. He doesn’t have a chance against Bama although nobody in tbe SEC really has a chance.

Honestly not sure. I know that ppl with deep pockets hate him & want him gone but I'm not sure if that sentiment is shared by the athletic department. That UT loss did a number on everyone's psyche

That's interesting. I do know Gus has been hammering his contract home as a reason why he's not going anywhere to recruits

In defense of the chickens, Gus's product this season has done the most harm

But lame duck head coaches are the worst. It's not an easy call but someone in AU leadership needs to just make a decision. But maybe they have & that's why they haven't said anything...

That is what I am thinking. It isn't just 32 MM for Gus. You gotta buy out his staff. You are probably paying a buyout for the coach you want (see Burt B when he went to Arky). Write him a new contract. Pay for a new staff. When you work through the financials, no booster loves AU enough to spend 70ish MM to get a new coach. So even talking about it is a moot point.
