I'm interested to see if AU makes a bigger push for Cam'ron Kelly or Jalen Perry moving forward. Kelly's had some weird turns in his recruitment that makes me wonder about some off field stuff. Wouldn't mind flipping a Dawg

God, if we can just put together an SEC/Playoff run we might be able to turn the corner.

This class is still gonna be strong for sure. 2020 class is off to a blazing start too. But bringing home a trophy this year would sure be nice...

At a minimum, beating one of UGA/BAMA is really needed

Chances are good we getting a 24 year old QB tomorrow so it's not all bad

Ngl seeing a 24 year old post those recruiting photos where they get dressed up in the uniforms and pose was very strange. Also, has anyone worn the number 24 on offense since Carnell left?

No, but we had a coach who was being negatively recruited against for his spot on the hot seat. The whole reason we’re doing as well as we are is because Gus is locked in and that’s not ammo for anyone anymore. Now if we can pull off another solid year, we should be able to break through even more.

What a kick in the balls to lose 2 5 stars after apparently having the late momentum at our two biggest positions of need

Oh. I don’t think we’re out of it yet for Wanya. Could be wrong, though.

Don't forget 4*LB Rian Davis now off the board. UGA.

We should've known with Booth. We should've known seeing the BBQ visitor list. Its Dabo and whatever he says' way. Gets them on campus close to 'want to commit' date, makes them go public asap, then has that policy that if you visit somewhere else he will pull the scholly. Once he visited there instead of us this weekend, it was over. Mackensie Alexander to now it's the same story with Clemson.

Pappoe knows seeing UGA and now Booth at this point its not going to come together Top 5 anymore, I hope he continues to be solid through the season. The pressure to leave if he's the only 5* will be immense by December.

I was concerned before with Kirby going to UGA that the gap would widen and we wouldn't be able to recruit Georgia like with Richt, a guy that still beat us. But Pruitt learned under Saban and Jimbo, and I think will start to have good classes too. It's inevitable Jimbo is going to get Top 10 classes. Clemson will continue to cherry pick Georgia anytime we want someone UGA doesn't. Muschamp, Richt, and Taggart are no slouches. Moorhead TBD. Meyer still poaches. Any kid with a big brain is Stanford's.

Auburn isn't going to go national, just isn't. Better hope Mullen keeps sucking with Fla recruiting and Alleva keeps Ed O. Gus is going to have to get creative and step it up just like Chizik did inventing the road trips. Can't just take all transfers and JUCOs trying to close the talent gap. Or he's just going to have to blast UGA and Bama then UGA again this year, which I don't see him winning 3 or even 2, maybe 1 on the road -- my biggest remaining concern with him, big road games. It takes a lot to beat Bama with all their talent, every game feels Herculean. UGA will be there after this class.

Winning 2 of those games in 3 weeks or 3 in 4, to end the season? Ha.

Gus indeed better step it up. 4* CBs are out there, yeah. We could get a whole team of just 4*s. But Booth to Clemson is a giant signal in the recruiting world we're not up there with the big boys this year. We clearly needed CBs, we just put Iggy there and he's a possible starter lol. Dobbs barely looked at us after visiting, Morris gone, if Putnam goes FSU, OL recruiting yikes. RB recruiting is disappointing, UGA has 4 5*s now and we definitely run the ball more and can't get anyone elite to even look. Garner will do his thing but we definitely need another D Brown, 5* or high 4* DTs soon. Or take 4* 270lb SDEs and make them pound food. LB options starting to thin.

Or we accept who we are and wait for odd numbered years with UA/UGA at home, go for transfers out the arse, (Can you imagine if Stidham had picked A&M instead?) and bite nails in close games at Amen Corner, hope for a miracle in sec champ game or someone else in East to be worth a shite. I got it that we beat them both this year but we got slammed in the SEC game, and our elite talent is starting to move on without replenishing with the same. Last year was a "depth" class in hopes this one would have 5-6 elite dudes.

I personally think with the way every years schedule ends for us and UGA elite, we're going to have to get a generational player or a bunch of great transfers to get to the playoffs. Booth and this UGA weekend is the period in the sentence writing on the wall. Just is. If we're gonna do it, it's going to be like we always do it: once every few years, unexpected dominant DT QB and senior OL, grimey senior defense, under the radar to start the season etc.

Sucks but we're not gonna get the 5* laden team we all hoped for. Too much around us now and we're not ever gonna be national. Gus needs to find a way after the season or absoluetly next year, or the gap gets worse and we have to hope for 2013 type seasons.

** Early soft melt to Booth gone, RIP to AU 5* CB dream **
