Two big missing names from AU commit standpoint are George Pickens & Jaren Handy. Pickens has told both AU & Bama he might visit them. JLee expects there to be somewhere around 25 visitors total

Also Cord Sandberg will be on OV & AU is thought to be the current leader

Well Khris Bogle had this interresting tweet talking about he & Boobie Curry. If true that would seem a good sign for AU...

True but that tweet was 2 & a half months before an interview or 2 he did in June saying AU was very much in it. Also I believe Miami is believed to be a bigger factor than the Vols.

Some good news. 4* ATH Mark-Antony Richards told 247 that he has a top 2 of Miami & AU. Says they are about event. Really likes the plan AU has mapped out for him on how he will be used. Doesn't plan on making a decision until November at the earliest & could take recruitment all the way to February

Some not so great news. 3* OT Charles Cross eliminated AU from top group. Plans to commit soon and it looks like FSU. AU was trying to make a push

It would suck arse but I'm not sure about pissed. We were never the clear cut leader & were way behind Clemson til Pappoe publicly committed to us.

I'll melt for sure. I love DB play, and it's pretty rare for us to get a legit lockdown CB. Huge position of need.

From my experience, prospects don't flip prospects, the college coaches do. They don't hurt a program's chances, but they don't have more than a marginal effect either. Might be a better chance of Owen's teammate Wanya Morris flipping to Auburn at this point.

Guys like Nolan Smith, Travon Walker might be working on Owen, but Owen is working on Morris, and could see Andrew Booth on the commitment list soon. Then you have both groups of commitments tugging on Jadon Haselwood.

In the end, these young men go their own direction.
