Have anymore names at OT come up?
5* Devontae Dobbs (OV this weekend)
4* Wanya Morris (will be tough to flip from Vols)
4* Xavier Truss
4* Darius Thomas (Will OV)
4* Will Putnam (Supposedly Grimes likes him at OG & OT.)

This would be huge. Im hearing Putnam might be a possibility at tackle? If we could round up these two and pull in one of the top tackles we have targeted (a big if), we would be set.

Rival Views: Who is the top QB in 2019? (Rivals)
quote:
Rivals.com National Recruiting Director Mike Farrell and National Recruiting Analyst Adam Gorney don’t always see eye to eye. In this edition of Rival Views, the two debate which 2019 quarterback is the best.

FARRELL’S VIEW: Bo Nix
It’s not a great year at quarterback in 2019 and I’m not sure if there is a five-star in the group, but we know there will be guys who outperform their ranking. Right now, for me, the top guy is Bo Nix because of all the things he can do on the field. He’s not only a very good pocket passer with accuracy and arm strength but he has solid size, he can extend the play and run when needed.
I give him the slight nod over Spencer Rattler because Nix has a bigger frame to fill out and, while he may not be as athletic overall, he’s a better pure passer. Dylan Morris and his big arm intrigues me as well as some others, but for now give me the Auburn commit Nix over the Oklahoma commit Rattler.

GORNEY’S VIEW: Spencer Rattler
This is a wide open year at quarterback and it might be the first time since the 2011 recruiting class where there are no five-stars among the group. That year, Braxton Miller (Ohio State) and Jeff Driskel (Florida) led the position rankings.
As we go through this rankings process and we consider the best quarterback in this class, I start leaning toward Oklahoma commit Spencer Rattler for numerous reasons. He recently measured in at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, so size is no longer a concern.
Rattler effortlessly throws the deep ball to his receivers in stride, he can make tough throws into tight windows where only his receivers can get them and he does an excellent job of dodging pressure in the pocket and finding an open player down the field.
In his junior season, Rattler played under center and in the shotgun, showed he can do everything on the field and looks like an absolutely perfect fit for the Sooners’ offense. With Rattler and coach Lincoln Riley running the offense in Norman, expect Oklahoma’s offense to keep humming.

FWIW I think Pickens jumps into top 100 for Rivals this week, Nix falls some & Pappoe still sits at the borderline 5* spot

IF Nix falls, it would be the most obvious bias in the Elite 11. What do you base this off of?
Pickens will be a 5* before the final rankings.
There isn't a QB with the combo of knowledge/Skill anywhere else other than Bo.I know he isn't 6'-04", but neither are are bunch of guys.

I'm just guessing. Rivals likes him a lot more than 247 so chance he stays where he's at. My guess tho is his rating stays the same but he gets jumped by some guys. Still think he will be in the top 100 tho

I think his rating stays basically the same but he gets jumped by some guys. Happens all the times in new rankings

Got a great chance. Needs to show out in Dallas at The Opening. If he does that then he might even be there before season starts

You don't have to sell me on Bo. I think he's elite. I am just guessing based off how these sites seem to be treating QBs this year. The repeated message is there are no super elite QBs in this class. Everybody seems to agree Bo is the most college ready guy but none seem to think he's 5* calibre. Arm strength & size appear to be what will keep him out of there for now
I don't agree, just telling ya what I think these sites will do

Yup I just don't know if he will get that 5th in these updated rankings. My guess is he shows out in Dallas & finally gets that 5th before the season starts

quote:He's #35 on Rivals which is just outside of end of year Rivals 5* territory & and as Paw posted in the comments from Farrell & Gourney they don't see any 5* QBs in this class. They are the ranking guys for Rivals.
