I think it's important not to be too stocked about someone or something. You tend to run out of room otherwise.

I am not stoked about any QB that is not a dual threat QB as long as Big Money Gus is at the controls

Oh, now stoked is a different thing altogether. Getting too stoked about any Auburn player can cause aneurysms.

Stidham is going to change your mind this year.

Probably not. I mean - Stidham was pretty damn good last year so if he didn't change his mind last year, why would this year (with a completely revamped offensive line) be any different?

Yeah, in a year like this where we have very little experience at OL or RB, but extremely talented WRs who have experience, I'm not sure there's another QB in CFB right now that I'd rather have than Stidham.

Not unless he learns to run the read option and has 4.3 speed or becomes 6-5 and 250 pounds. Stidham is probably going to be a lot like he was last year. But with less tools in the box.

New offensive line
Brand spanking new running backs all around
Missing two of his best tools at WR from last year with injuries to Stove and Hastings

Sorry. I know you all are so hopefully that this offense is going to roll but I just dont believe it and wont until it happens. It wont be dominate under Gus unless its a run first offense with 1/2 those runs going to the QB

he is probably the right guy for us right now. I agree. But moving forward, Id really like to see us get back to what we were doing the years we were dominate

Debatable. I'm betting the OL will be better this year. I'm not worried at all about the WRs, but RB is a little concerning until we see what Martin and Whitlow can really do. According to Gus, though, Stidham will have more control over the offense and I think he's going to be able to make some better decisions this year.

I know that you believe that, but we were quite a force last year when things were clicking. And just a quick helpful tip, "dominant".

The thing about Stidham is that he’s going to have to find his receivers quicker.

Stidham’s pocket presence also needs some work but he did live up to his hype. I do wonder about the ceiling of pro style QBs under Gus though.

I saw some good games last year but I will take 2013 offense and 2010 style offense 10x over what I saw last year. There are more moving parts to it and its much easier for our "coach" to throw in some of his "magic" plays.

I like Stidham and I believe he has a big upside but he holds the ball too long creating too many big negative plays and turns the ball over at key moments. shite has got to stop.

yea, some of that is auto correct and some of it is the fact that I fish for a living

Some are going to throw some of his previous Pro Qbs at you but when has our offense been unstoppable? Three years only. And all three years, we had the offense I am talking about.

The other years have been bad or not great other than last year. Which we still lost 4 games. And we lost 2 of the 4 BIG games we played. Having issues in both games moving the ball.

I think he held on to the ball too long, in part, because he was not given the option to audible out of preset plays that were sniffed out before they ever even started. He's pretty safe with the football.

We were unstoppable in 2014?

maybe unstoppable in 2014 is a stretch but it was very good and was not our issue at all. We lost a lot that year but still managed to put up over 600 yards on the best defense we faced

Our offense was pretty statistically strong in 14.
