I don't know about getting both Bohanon and Gatewood. Too similar in my opinion. Both big time athletes that have question marks about being QBs tho Bohanon is probably further along right now than Gatewood

KN has article on Gerry Bohanon repeating what has been reported a bunch already. Tigers are telling him they want 2 QBs and he has no problem competing against Gatewood. He enjoyed the scrimmage and plans to return soon. Says AU, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Tennessee are recruiting him the hardest

An Alabama Crimson Tide verbal commitment since December, Jordan Davis was a constant on the edge for offensive linemen all day long. He beat some with speed and others with the ability to stick his foot in the dirt and come back underneath. The Memphis (Tenn.) Southwind star, who is still considering SEC programs despite his pledge to Nick Saban and company, won maybe the prettiest rep of any defender on the day with a strong spin move to come up underneath a blocker who over set on him in anticipation of his ability to speed rush. Upon receiving an invitation to the 2018 event, Davis elected to participate in the next Under Armour All-America Game.

Trey Dean, a safety prospect out of Hampton (Ga.) Dutchtown High School, impressed from the outset of the event. He is impressive on the hoof (pictured above) and looked like a smaller defensive back in how he moved during drills. Dean carried it over on to both one-on-one and seven-on-seven competition to put together one of the day's strongest secondary performances. Georgia, Florida, Louisville and others in the SEC and ACC are contenders for Dean early on.
This is the kid who doesn't think Quay Walker lands at AU. I get impression he is recruiting him to UGA even tho Dean isn't committed yet

North Side defensive lineman Greg Emerson says Tennessee and Oregon are recruiting him the hardest although Alabama, Ohio State, Florida State and Georgia are still very much in the mix. It doesn't take many reps of the Scout trench talent to realize why so many are after his commitment. Emerson can beat blockers just about every way one could cook up a victory. He is big and strong with good balance and quickness laterally. He can use his hands or simply overwhelm an offensive line with his power.

The rising senior, who holds more than 30 scholarship offers, was also impressive in his endurance, making plays on the football deep into the event when many of his counterparts elected to take the rest of the day off.

The three-star was active in drills with minimal wasted movement but he really shined brightest during the competition phase of the event. Not only was the rising senior vocal on the field, but he backed it up with the most physical play of any defender on this day. Jackson, who has LSU on top at this time, got multiple running backs on the ground at the line of scrimmage and played the football after that point. When he was not playing bully on the field, he turned and ran well with those smaller and more cut out for playing in space than he.

After being slowed by a minor injury last weekend, Birmingham (Ala.) Jackson-Olin defensive tackle Coynis Miller made up for lost time Sunday. He is a shorter defensive tackle and uses that low center of gravity for great balance and quickness to defeat opponents with angles as much as he can with power or hand technique. It is like the top defensive tackle in Alabama, who will be tough to pull outside of state lines, was built to rush the passer from the interior. Miller is in no rush to make a verbal commitment.

Atlanta (Ga.) Carver defensive back Quindarious Monday was another safety type to have a big day in Atlanta. He is long and lean, able to impress with his physical nature, competitiveness and ball skills. He has the look of the quarterback of the defense and flashed those types of smart gambles in his pursuit of the football and how he reacted deep down the field. Monday, who recently told Scout Auburn sat ahead of Florida State, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Michigan and others, got his hands on the football aplenty during this day.

The lone underclassman on this list, LaGrange (Ga.) Troup County edge defender King Mwikuta represented the class of 2019 well all afternoon long. The rising junior has elected to play linebacker over the last two weekends of competition and has made his fair share of plays despite being perhaps more comfortable as a defensive end. Recently telling Scout Alabama, Georgia and Clemson were recruiting him the hardest, Mwikuta's length and ability to redirect makes him among the top 2019 talents in the South. He finished his Sunday with a big interception during seven-on-seven competition.

For the second week in a row, four-star College Park (Ga.) Hapeville Charter cornerback Christopher Smith was very impressive. He was fluid in drills and took numerous reps in one-on-ones, successful in those battles well more times than not. He was physical and extremely aggressive. Smith also showed great concentration and ball skills. Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State and South Carolina look to be the main contenders.

Fresh off receiving a fourth star, Columbia (S.C.) Sun Valley outside linebacker Channing Tindall did not disappoint. The 6-foot-2, 213-pound Tindall is complete linebacker. He was great in drills and also excelled dropping into coverage during the 7-on-7 portion of the camp. Tindall is undoubtedly one of the most athletic linebackers in the country and his stock will continue to rise over the next several months. LSU and Georgia are offers he is considering heavily while looking to visit Penn State and Notre Dame in the near future.
If AU can get him back on campus we will be a team to watch

The 6-3, 195-pound Jones showed great arm strength and fit several passes into tight windows. The four-star Franklin (Ga.) Heard County standout also showed good touch and accuracy throwing the ball downfield. He remains firmly committed to Ohio State. However, he will continue to visit other schools, and Florida State will be his next stop. Jones stated Sunday that the Seminoles, Alabama and Florida are the only schools with a shot to flip him.

Gaffney (S.C.) wide receiver Dennis Smith was great from start to finish. The 6-2, 185-pound Smith was fluid drills and showed great overall technique. In the 7-on-7 part of the camp, his route running was sharp and he consistenly created separation from his opponent. Smith also showed good concentration and did a nice job of high-pointing the football. Clemson, Duke and Georgia are the schools to watch for Smith.

Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County offensive lineman Trey Hill continued his dominant spring on the camp circuit with perhaps his best performance Sunday. Scout saw him lose just one rep throughout the bevy of one-on-one competition against a solid defensive line group, so it was little surprise to see the big man snag the game invitation. Hill is so strong once he gets his hands on the opponent and he ended most reps shortly after doing so, including multiple occasions in which he placed the pass rusher on the ground. There was not a more physical presence on the field at Northview High School. Hill holds a who's who list of offers, including perceived favorite Georgia, but does not appear close to a decision.

Ranked as a top five guard prospect nationally, Stockbridge (Ga.) Woodland offensive lineman James Ohonba looked like it again Sunday. He strikes you with his well-proportioned frame, but even more so when it is in motion against impeding pass rushers. He plays with heavy hands and can end reps very early in the process with his striking ability. Ohonba also moved a bit better than expected on this particular day, even winning reps with strong extension away from his body. Clemson, Michigan, Alabama and Georgia are in the best position for the Woodland standout.

For the second time in as many weeks, there was not a more intriguing pound-for-pound athlete than Mountain Brook (Ala.) standout Harold Joiner. Big and mobile at about 6-3, 215 pounds, he can do a bit of everything and plays much better in space than his size suggests. Joiner is quick in his cuts and can run routes as well as any running back in the region, with top-notch ball skills and hands to finish plays down the football field. With his size and skill set, it would not surprise to see the rising senior play all over an offense at the next level. LSU is in solid position for Joiner early on, but he is in no rush to make a decision.
