KN says Jalil Irvin measured 6'2" 303 lbs on his visit. Believes AU has a real shot at his buddy 4* OT Dylan Wonnum

Wait, why the hell are people not excited about Joiner? #1 recruit in AL, 6'4'' 215 RB... looks like a solid get

Dude is a freak athlete. He stands out at camps. The concern many have is whether he's physical enough to be RB in SEC. Shivers is a more physical back than he is. No one's denying he's got talent just concerned style won't translate to next level. He's almost 6'4" as well which is super tall for a running back. Honestly think he would be better weapon as a WR in the short passing game. Match him up against safeties and linebackers
Fwiw if he does learn to run behind his pads more effectively and becomes a more physical back then he will be a stud. But it's usually not simple for a back to go from finesse to power so we will see. I hope us doubters look dumb in a few years

I guess I need to watch some videos of him. It's almost hard to believe he wouldn't be physical with that size.

Yeah, just watched a few. He runs... apprehensively? Hopefully he'll add some weight and realize he could be an absolute monster.

In my eyes, Joiner is a WR all the way, which i wouldn't offer him at RB with what we have already. Smoke, on the other hand, is a hard-nosed runner and steal at RB, imo.

All-American RB Harold Joiner commits to Auburn (247)
Interesting measurements KN has listed there. 6'3" 221 lb RB needs to learn he's that big. If he does, could be a monster

The Tigers have added a 4-star running back and U.S. Army All-American to the 2018 recruiting class.
Harold Joiner of Birmingham (Ala.) Mountain Brook committed to Auburn on Sunday, the final day of his official visit to the school.
The 6-feet-2.5, 221-pound Joiner is the No. 5 running back and No. 124 overall recruit nationally in the industry generated 247Sports Composite.
Joiner is the third running back in the class, joining December signees Asa Martin and Shaun Shivers, both 4-star recruits. The need for an extra back grew after Kerryon Johnson, the SEC offensive player of the year, and Kamryn Pettway announced earlier this month they were leaving early for the NFL.
Joiner is commitment No. 22 for Auburn. The Tigers have three or four spots to fill.
The Tigers have the No. 10 running back in the 247Sports rankings.
Joiner has been on Auburn’s radar since his sophomore year in high school. He has visited the Tigers more than any other program and recently attended the Georgia and Alabama games Jordan-Hare Stadium in November.
His recruitment has been somewhat of a roller coaster ride at times. Last summer, he appeared bound for LSU.
But ultimately Joiner landed with Auburn.

BREAKING: Nation’s highest-rated uncommitted running back commits to Auburn (SECCountry)
quote:
AUBURN, Ala. — Harold Joiner, the nation’s highest-ranked uncommitted running back, is no longer uncommitted.
The 4-star running back from Mountain Brook High School in Birmingham, Ala., committed to Auburn during his official visit. Joiner’s commitment gives the Tigers three running backs in the 2018 class, joining Asa Martin and Shaun Shivers, who signed in December during the early signing period.
Joiner is the No. 5-ranked running back in the nation.
“They have all the things I want with the program and education-wise. I’m just going to be looking at how I fit in there and see if I’m cool with the players. I already kinda am right now, but I want to get to know them a little more,” Joiner said coming into the visit.
Joiner’s recruitment has taken several turns throughout the process.
For months, the running back seemed destined to land in LSU’s class. After a communication mishap, Joiner reopened all of his options with Auburn as the starting place. He took his official visit from Friday to Sunday, spending most of his time with coach Gus Malzahn, and it resulted in an end-of-visit commitment.
While he’s listed as a running back, Joiner’s future at Auburn may be in a more versatile role.
At 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds, he has the athleticism to serve several roles. Dating back to the spring, Malzahn always told Joiner he’d play running back as his main position, but he’d be used out wide as a receiver, as well. As recently as last week, Joiner said at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl that he felt more comfortable with that potential role than he was previously.
Joiner becomes the 22nd commitment in Auburn’s 2018 class. Fifteen signed during the early signing period. With Joiner’s commitment, the Tigers move back into the top 10 of the 247Sports composite rankings.

Really meh on joiner. Wish we would have used that spot for a position more in need. Hopefully we don't take a tight end now.

Agreed, so is that commit foucha or whatever going to sign? Really need to end with some tackles and corners unless Ross wants in

The only worry I have about Joinor is him being a head case. He was a silent to LSU I believe and then they told him to look somewhere else and he wanted to give a silent to us but Gus made him make a public commitment. Sounds like a recruitment. Some won't like this comparison but he has some TJ Yeldon in him as a player IMO

Joiner says won't take anymore OVs. Interestingly enough Gus showed him a ton of Charles Clay tape from his Tulsa days. Sold him on playing that role
Also Schwartz says no more OVs. UGA reached out but he said he's solid to AU

Fuqua plans on signing with AU. Dad says should know about grayshirt in a week or so. He's locked in with AU tho. Sounds like he sticks even if he grayshirts
