I got approved just to post this.. I know it won't happen but I wish we would take a look at Dantavius "D.T." Stephens at CB.. I can't find much information on him as far as recruitment goes, but he plays in the same region as Christian Tutt and last I checked was tied for the state lead in INT's with 7 (compared to 1 for Tutt) also plays offense and has made tons of plays this year(8 receiving TD's, 610 yds, 18 yd avg ) and lead this team to the playoffs with two top 10 teams in the region. He has film up on Maxpreps if anyone is interested.

Sidenote- He played Tutt's team this past Friday and from what I could tell he was every bit on par with Tutt. And no I'm not D.T. lol I just know we need CBs bad. He stands out on film, leads Ga in INT's and Auburn has had a a lot of success recruiting the Augusta area (Tuesdell last year, Carlos Rodgersand Robert Dunn just to name a few.

What about this post made it necessary for you to obtain approval to post?

I made the account a while ago, but never posted. It said I needed mod approval to make any post. I know it's a long shot that we even look at him, but we picked Truesdell up really late last year too in a similar situation.

I doubt he will jump that far. I wouldn't be surprised if he moved up some but all the way to 5* would be a hell of a jump. Not sure he's participating in any of the All-American games outside of the AL/MS Game. If he were to go to one of those big ones & ball out then maybe but I doubt it

AU's best chance at signing a 5* is Justyn Ross or Trey Hill. Both are close enough that if they have a strong all star game they could get enough of a bump to end up being a 5*. Obviously AU also has to actually sign one of them as well. Chances are good tho this will be first year under Gus we don't get a 5*

His film looks pretty solid. I don't see any recruit profiles for him tho which isn't a good sign of him getting much attention on recruiting trail

Michael Parker is visiting this weekend as well according to KN. KN also says Tutt is taking an official visit

Also according to Rivals 4* TE Luke Ford has set an official visit to AU. I can't see when but I assume it's for the Iron Bowl. I find it hilarious that one of the top TEs in the country would still be giving AU a hard look

Clemson insider CB'd Trey Hill to UGA this morning.... Clemson was once thought to be one of his top schools so not a great sign for AU. Thankfully get him back on campus this weekend

Effffffff. We lose this and we will be losing to UGA for years to come. Random question - is there anything specific on TH which is leading to these latest CBs for UGA? Has he said anything which leads them to believe UGA is leading or just their general prediction?

Jarren Williams sets four official visits (Rivals)
quote:

Jarren Williams has committed to Kentucky twice, but that has not slowed his recruitment down one bit.

The 6-foot-3, 205 pound quarterback out of Lawrenceville (Ga.) Central Gwinnett threw for 419 yards and six touchdowns Friday night in a loss with Miami quarterback coach Jon Richt on the sideline.

Could the Hurricanes be the biggest threat to the Wildcats?

Williams was planning to take an unofficial visit to Auburn this weekend for their game against Georgia, but with it being Miami's final home game, the Hurricanes convinced him to spend this weekend in Coral Gables.

The Williams family has a good connection with Richt due to meeting him years ago when he was the head coach in Athens.

This will be the first official visit for Williams. He is set to head south Thursday.

It will be a busy month for Williams. After visiting Miami this weekend, he is now set to visit Ohio State and Auburn the next two weekends. At this time, both are scheduled as official visits.

He will see the Buckeyes play Illinois, then be a part of the Iron Bowl the final weekend in November when he visits Auburn.

Ohio State just offered Williams last week. Auburn has been in this race much longer than most think according to sources. The Tigers were at one time viewed as the biggest threat to Kentucky, but Miami has really worked its way into that conversation now.

At this time, it looks like Kentucky will receive the final official visit. Williams is set to be in Lexington the weekend of December 8. The connection he has with that coaching staff is what keeps Williams committed to the Wildcats at this time. Will that be enough to fend off the Tigers, Hurricanes and Buckeyes?

Kentucky is not used to beating out those type of schools for a top flight quarterback, so it won't be easy.

While working to complete high school, Williams is truly juggling recruiting at the same time. He is (and has been) talking to multiple coaches from the four schools daily, so his head has to be spinning at this time.

Williams has planned to sign his letter of intent on December 20, the first day of the early signing period. Williams will be graduating high school in December and that is still set as long as he knows for sure of his decision.

He had a phenomenal senior season. Williams threw for 3,105 yards and 28 touchdowns with only four interceptions.

His recruitment looks to be far from over. It should be a very interesting and busy next six weeks for Williams and his family.

Damn you Mark Richt. Sounds like this might end up an AU/MIA battle

Would love to land this kid. Question is can we build a strong enough relationship by 12/20? I guess that's an issue for Miami too.

I'd feel a LOT better about our QB class with him and JG coming in.

Sounds like Lindsey has been working on him for awhile so I think we actually have a leg up there. Will be interesting to see if we can convince 2 top 10 dual threat QBs to come in same class. Would be a hell of a pull for AU. I think Gatewood has the much higher ceiling but Williams is a very solid player himself. Get Bo Nix in 2019 class & should have a REALLY fun QB battle in two years with Willis, Gatewood, Williams & Nix

Two quick nuggets from Bama 247 on couple of AU targets

- 4* LB Quay Walker apparently had a good visit to Bama & sources seem to think despite visits they will hang onto him. Still expect him to visit other places but think he will stick with Tide

- Bama thinks they might have slight lead for 3* DE Andres Fox but both AU & LSU are considered very real threats. He's a take for Bama. Won't have decision until NSD

Yeah I couldn't find much of him on any sites and was hoping maybe someone else could find more. I know his high school has A LOT of turnover for their coaches and the coach they have right now only got the job 2 weeks before the season start so maybe that has something to do with it? Maybe just a lack of time/way to camps or something. I know he took a trip to East Carolina (not sure if official), but that could have been for basketball because he was honorable mention all state last year. Like I said I know 99% chance we don't even give him a look, but if we miss some targets I would love for him to be this years Truesdell and to me he has outplayed Tutt this year in the same region.

If u know the kid tell em to reach out to RecruitGeorgia. It's an NCAA approved recruiting service for free. They send info to colleges. Might help get his name out

I don't know him, but I found his twitter when I was looking for info which is where I saw the East Carolina visit. He has been in touch with them and they have retweeted a few things of his including his 4 INT game. He's actually up for play of the week this week for them.

Steve Wiltfong says he thinks AU has a great chance at landing 4* CB Christian Tutt with recent Nebraska struggles. Believes it will end up an AU/OHST battle with a chance the Buckeyes might already be filled up
