4* WR Lawrence Keys released a top 6 that includes AU. LSU is considered the major favorite in that one. Teammates with Joseph Foucha

Yup. He said he never said that because it wasn't in a hot board article. If I could post I would have called him out on it. It was not in a hot board article but it was in a Sunday or Monday before NSD update. I apparently was the only one that remembered that factoid because no other posters mentioned it.

I think he commits to AU. Where he signs maybe a different question.

4* OT Qadir White announcing today. Says AU in the final 3. Expected to pick Syracuse. Pretty sure AU hasn't pushed all that hard

Oh snap, UF insider Luke Stampini just CB'd Martin to AU

Gators were one of the biggest threat for Martin until they landed Pierce. Now if we can get a Clemson insider to do the same then I will be feeling really good

Decision day for top running back Asa Martin comes down to Auburn, Alabama (SECCountry)
quote:

Decision day for Asa Martin

The time has finally come for Asa Martin to announce his college decision.

Officially, it’s down to Clemson, Florida, Auburn and Alabama, but it’s the last two on that list that have Martin bouncing back and forth for his college choice. As of early Thursday morning when this post was written, he’d yet to inform any of the coaching staffs, but this is clearly an in-state battle between the Crimson Tide and the Tigers.

My progression on this one has transitioned rapidly.

A week and a half ago, I left Martin out of my offensive class projection. I even wrote a story about what Auburn’s plans could be if the Tigers were to miss on their preferred trio of Master Teague, Dameon Pierce and Martin. Similarly, our Alabama recruiting reporter Chris Kirschner had him in his Crimson Tide projection.

Fast forward to this week.

Confidence has grown on the Plains. I placed a Crystal Ball pick for Martin to the Tigers.

I’ve spoken with multiple sources around Martin and in Auburn who truly believe this could go either way. And, regardless of who Martin chooses, this recruitment isn’t likely to be shut down because there are a few things Martin still needs to see — the new offenses, 2017 success, etc.

I’m not going to back off this Martin-to-Auburn prediction, but just know this isn’t a situation where I know the answer 100 percent beforehand. He has kept this as quiet as possible leading up to his announcement, which is exactly how he told me it would go as early as the spring. Martin and his mother have no interest in letting the media or message boards leak this decision.

But again, if he chooses the Tigers (my pick), the Crimson Tide won’t give up on this one. If he selects Alabama, Auburn is going to keep in contact until Martin’s signature is on scholarship papers.

It sounds like Wolk and KN has this thing at 55/45 AU while as we all know JLee is feeling confident at 70%. Only one Bama writer, least accurate one judging by Crystal Ball in Chris Kirschner, has come out with AU prediction. Rest seem to be saying tossup as well. Dude has done a damn good job of not letting anyone know what he wants to do

Apparently Andrew Bone is now saying AU as well. Just need Watts to get on board and it's a clean sweep

That and you know Martin actually commit to AU

Qadir White also set to decide

Martin isn’t the only Tigers target on tap for a decision Thursday.

Qadir White — a 6-foot-7 offensive tackle from Bronx, N.Y. — tweeted out his plan to commit Thursday, as well. His list of three schools is down to Auburn, Syracuse and Maryland.

White’s relationship with the Tigers dates back to Herb Hand’s time at Penn State. Those two developed an early relationship, and Hand kept recruiting him once he made the move to Auburn. White camped with the Tigers over the summer, and it’s not a huge surprise to see Auburn in the top 3.

With that said, I’ll be surprised to see him choose the Tigers. This is likely Syracuse all the way. If my feeling about that changes, I’ll let you know.

Lawrence Keys releases top-6 list

Auburn has a pretty solid plan at wide receiver in the 2018 recruiting class, but the Tigers continue to recruit several players at the position who aren’t as likely to land in the class.

Names that come to mind: Tommy Bush and Anthony Schwartz. Another one that could join that group is New Orleans receiver Lawrence Keys III.

Keys released a top-6 list Thursday of Auburn, LSU, Houston, TCU, Nebraska and Notre Dame. LSU is the clear team to beat, and I don’t see that happening.

With that said, he has visited Auburn. Keys is high school teammates with Auburn safety target Joe Foucha, and the two of them visited the Plains together earlier this year.

Honestly if we get Seth Williams to go with what we got anything else is gravy. Keys is an electric player but he's also on the smaller side of things. I am liking this 6'2"+ widouts we are snagging

It's kind of ridiculous

You know the principal or coach will ramble on for about 20 minutes too before Asa gets to pick
