Based off KN article in 4* OG Jalil Irvin it sounds like might commit anytime to AU. Maybe pulls trigger this weekend?

Auburn attempts to flip Georgia pass-rusher commit Adam Anderson (SECCountry)
Could this be our annual GA steal? Would be nice
quote:
His most recent visit was to the Plains when he attended Auburn for its first junior day. Based on proximity, Auburn would be one of the most likely candidates to flip Anderson, if that’s something he considers.
The Tigers offered Anderson, even though the quiet 4-star didn’t announce it publicly. He’s the No. 3 outside linebacker in the nation, though he fits more into the Buck defensive end description at Auburn. Interestingly, it’s actually running backs coach Tim Horton who has headed Anderson’s recruitment.
“Tim Horton has been texting me for a while, telling me to come check it out just before any final decision is made,” Anderson said. “It’s actually really good. Auburn plays a lot of freshmen. It’s a good environment. It’s not too big or too small. It’s good to be around … Hopefully I’ll be able to check it out again.”

Master Teague III reflects on surprise Auburn offer
quote:
Master Teague III was in for a surprise when he visited Auburn last week.
Teague, a four-star running back from Murfreesboro, Tenn., earned an offer from head coach Gus Malzahn and the Tigers. He was shocked, as he had not talked to Auburn coaches much before the unofficial visit.
Now, he's been talking to running backs coach Tim Horton more, and he'll make a return trip to Auburn for a spring practice on March 26.
"They like the way I run, of course," Teague said. "A lot of teams like to get you on the campus and talk to you. They thought I had my head on right and I was a good fit because their offense was similar to what I run in high school. I feel like they have good coaches where I can be developed to a better back and person."
The 5-foot-11, 210-pound Teague is ranked as the No. 18 running back recruit in the country. He could see himself operating as a feature back in new offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey's offense.
"I feel like it would be an easy transition because their offense is similar to what we run and the schemes we do," Teague said. "How they could use me in the offense and what they were telling me, it was great."
Teague ran for 2,031 yards and 24 touchdowns for Blackman High School last year. He said he was also impressed with Auburn's campus.
Auburn is among several schools after Teague, who said he plans to make a commitment before his senior season. Teague said he is on pace to graduate early.
Tennessee and South Carolina are among those schools, along with Ohio State, Duke and Vanderbilt. Ohio State has not yet offered.
He'll also visit Clemson and Georgia (twice) soon, he said, along with Ohio State and Mississippi State along with his return trip to Auburn.
Teague detailed what he is looking for in a school
"Somewhere I know I feel at home and where I feel I can grow as a person and grow spiritually and, of course, grow as a football player," he said. "Somewhere I can build relationships with those guys that last a long time. Somewhere they use their backs in a way that interests me, program history and having success, those are some things that are pretty big to me."
Teague said he'll narrow his list of schools down later this spring.

Missing on Devon Hunter and the other Safety 2 years ago that chose Stanford over us is really showing in Sprint Ball. We need two legit Safeties this cycle

Devon Hunter wouldn't be here for spring anyway... so your point makes no sense.

While Devon was a bad example, his point still makes sense. Recruiting misses may be showing up in the spring at the safety position.

Four DB coaches in four years will do that... considering the turnover, it could be way worse at corner and safety.

4* QB Joey Gatewood and 4* LB Quay Walker also on campus

KN unsure if any commits happen today. 4* OG Jalil Irvin might if we push. 3* OT Kameron Stutts another to watch tho unsure where he is on board. 3* DT Timaje Porter has AU in front but sounds like he might not be a take right now

Stutts is a strong kid. Puts kids on their backs easily with poor technique.
Would like to see him after a year in the program.

Junior day notes from KN
- 4* OG Jalil Irvin says he almost committed this weekend but decided to hold off. KN thinks he could jump on board this week but could last as long as A-Day. Either way it sounds like it's when not if he commits to the Tigers
- 3* ATH Richard Jubinor is a LB/Buck target we really like. We were on him really early which has helped us with other teams now pursuing him. He's originally from Nigeria and apparently him and Price Tega have become friends and talk a lot.
- 4* QB Joey Gatewood had a really good visit and spent all day with Chip Lindsey. Says he still is firmly committed and now focusing on trying to get 4* WR Justyn Ross & 4* WR Jacob Copeland to join him at AU
- Bo Jackson's nephew 3* Shedrick Jackson still doesn't have an AU offer but apparently he feels more confident he is gonna get one in the future. Kodi Burns is gonna give him a firm evaluation over the spring and summer. Tigers are being picky at WR right now because of all the talent we are on
- Three names to watch at LB/Buck is 4* Quay Walker, 3* Michael Harris & 3* Richard Jubinor. All 3 were on campus and Tigers like their chances with all of them as well. All are capable of playing traditional LB spot or moving to Buck
- 4* WR Justyn Ross was back on campus and sounds like he and Burns have gotten real close. The Tigers are optimistic about their chances
- 4* CB Jalen Armour-Davis took a midweek visit from Tuesday to Thursday. It sounds like it went real well and the Tigers are feeling good about their chances. He's stop doing interviews right now but sounds like decision could come soon. FSU is the main threat

Auburn OL target Jalil Irvin nearly committed to the Tigers during junior day (SECCountry)
quote:
Jalil Irvin almost pulled the trigger.
The 6-foot-3, 295-pound offensive lineman visited Auburn for the program’s junior day Saturday. The Tigers already sat at or near the top of Irvin’s list of preferred schools. When he left Auburn, that positive sentiment about the Tigers had grown.
In fact, it grew so much Irvin almost felt convinced it was time to commit.
“I was about 99.9 percent close (to committing). That one point got them, but I’m going to be coming back,” Irvin said. “It basically just reaffirmed everything I already knew about Auburn … They’re definitely at the top for me.”
Irvin, like many prospects, mentions Auburn’s “family feel” as a big pull for the Tigers.
What does that mean for Irvin? It starts with his experience when he first arrived at Auburn’s spring practice on Saturday. First, Antwuan Jackson greeted him. Then K.J. Britt walked over to chat with the 2018 offensive line target. Linebackers coach Travis Williams also took time out of practice to chat with Irvin. He says that kind of treatment is “different” than other visits.
But reason No. 1 for the family feel: Offensive line coach Herb Hand.
“The way he is. He talks about more than football. He loves to cook. He told the story today. He loves to cook and talked about how he brought everybody over to the house basically to meet his kids, meet the family. His daughter goes here too, so it’s a real family vibe here,” Hand said. “It’s about more than just football with him.”
