KN had update on Carlito Gonzalez last night. Apparently he has two classes to finish up and has A's in both. He's expected to make it on campus at end of the month

Asa Martin came straight over from Bama's even last night and spent the night. Also apparently there's a group of underclassmen visiting from Stephenson high with Larry Porter. Stephenson is where we got Carlito Gonzalez and Jaliil Irvin. They got another kid (Javier Morton) who will probably be a target next year.

LB Commit.
He made 150 tackles as a sophomore.
Coach (Kevin) Steele clocked me at a 4.43.
Auburn coaches recruited him as an "athlete" to play defense because they like his "size and speed."

Apparently Quay Walker also made it in Friday evening and spent the night. KN says AU and others feel he's not solid to Bama

KN says Michael Harris, Zakoby McClain, Matthew Hill and Jamien Sherwood are all on commit watch. No sure thing any of them will commit but KN says AU will push

I am thinking there is at least a chance safety Jamien Sherwood could pop today. Three visits to Auburn this year -- all on his own dime.
That's not a short trip.

We got 3 CB picks for Jamari Brown (Rosegreen's nephew) with two coming from AU insiders

Great news. We need all the safety depth we can get.

LB Zakoby McClain will NOT BE ABLE to make it today. Just can't work it in, as he's heading home from West Virginia with family.
That's the bad news.
The good new for the Tigers: He plans to visit Auburn next Saturday and T-Will may very well get him all alone.
Scatch McClain off COMMIT WATCH for today.

Seems like it's really hard to get him on campus for these events. Couldn't make BCW either

Looks like he is being recruited by Muschamp and T. Rob as well. That is good enough for me. Add to the fact that he is a 6'3 CB, kin to my favorite Auburn defensive player of all time, and balled out in camp, and I'm all in on this guy.

Harold Joiner not making it either today

one being a top 5 player in next year's class
Don't get me wrong, seems like he's got potential and got to love that size but he's not even rated by 247. Where are you getting that he's a top 5 player?

No actually after Trey Hill visited it looks like we are passing on him. Also he's a guy that if AU wants later they can probably get
Like I said I don't have a lot of confidence in the Trey Hill goose chase but hopefully I'll be wrong.

He spent the night last week....
Alone, whereas it seems like his other visits are to schools big events which has to have an effect at getting to know/bonding with potential future teammates.

Ross was planning on it (was on the initial visitor lists) but turns out he had 7v7 event. Miller's last visit was supposed to be this weekend to Florida but now he plans on taking one final visit to AU next week
I get that but they are probably 2 of our top 5 needs in this class. It would be nice if they could have made it.

Are you Mr. Marsh?

247 composite. Both Rivals and Scout have graded him a 4*. He's the #4 player in the state according to the composite

Fair enough. The Jenkins news actually has given me more confidence we are a player with Hill. Still lots to be done there but it seems like we are trending the right direction

Maybe. But the point of his visit was to spend time with AU's current players and he did that. Him and Jarrett Stidham apparently have bonded. Also he clicked with Kyle Davis. Matthew Hill was there too for his visit

Agreed but I don't think it's anything to get too upset about. Ross will no doubt be back soon and Miller even has a visit planned for this week so no reason to be too worried about him missing today
My point was I don't know how you could be feeling disappointed about this weekend when we already have two surprise commits and plenty of our top targets are already on campus. Seth Williams chose to come to AU early over going to Bama's event, Asa Martin came straight over and spent the night. Quay Walker did the same. There's buzz we could get both Sherwood and Harris today. You might not be a fan of Marsh but there's plenty of things going well right now for AU

(10:02 a.m.) | There are a few people I’m putting on commit watch before the day starts: 4-star LB Michael Harris, 3-star safety Jamien Sherwood and 4-star wide receiver Matthew Hill. Zakoby McClain would’ve been on this list, but it’s unlikely he’ll be able to make it Saturday. His family just moved homes in Valdosta, so he’s still dealing with those logistics. Expect him to be at Auburn within a couple weeks. There could be others placed on commit watch throughout the day, but we’ll start there.

AU was under the impression he would be coming today.
I think he wants to be at AU but I just don't see it happening with his inner circle
