This team has played to it's full capability and gotten some good breaks along the way. They were underrated and our coach has done what a good coach should by making the most of talent and developing players. To say they have exceeded their ability is ridiculous unless you are saying all the other teams have beat themselves.

The concern is that the coaches and players lost that edge or got a little cocky, not that they suddenly found their true talent level.

Auburn softball plays their first game of the SECT today against Kentucky. Starts in five minutes.

Auburn has runners on first and second in the Bot 2 with one out.

Left runners on 2nd and 3rd and the bottom of the lineup continues to be useless.

Kasey Cooper singles in the Bot 3, Auburn looking to get some runs on the board. It's lonely ITT

Inning ends on a Fagan ground out. To the 4th with no score.

The home plate umps in the SEC tournament are absolute trash every single year. How is it that they're annually much worse than during the regular season, week to week?

You aren't kidding.

Bot 4th, Carlson is dealing.

I think we probably need this win for a national seed but I'm not really sure.

We go down in order and we go to the 5th, no score.

Carlson sets down Kentucky in order again. Get this woman some run support.

Sweet God when the bottom of the order comes up, if it wasn't for driving up the pitch count or hoping for some errors I'd say just skip the inning. Useless.

Aww man Cooper just got robbed of an RBI. To the 6th we go no score.

McCracken can barely even get her bat around. I've noticed that all season.

I really don't want to rag on her because if we had someone better they'd be playing but she is a liability.

We got bailed out so hard that inning. Auburn turns its 45th DP of the year to get out of a jam. Also got the first out because a base runner left 1st too early when trying to steal. Scoreless going to the bottom of the 6th.

Hitting issues seem so prevalent right now. Can't make good contact with the ball.

She's been a part of every big play in this game.

2 outs to go

McCrackin makes the catch on a shallow fly ball for out 2

Auburn wins 2-0 and will play the winner of LSU/TN

Good work ladies, that's win #46 on the year.

This lineup is nowhere near as potent as last season but our pitching could make us really dangerous in the tourney
