Might be true, but he has a point. We get fed garbage hoping some of it is still fresh

Anyhow, our LB group this year looks super solid. We'll finish with 2 of Ignont, Benton, and Britt in addition to Wooten & Moultry.

I'd add Monty Rice to that group, fwih. I seriously would be just as happy with any 2 of Britt, Rice, Benton or Ignont.

Our recruiting insiders, particularly in the early stages, are terrible. Maybe it is Gus locking down info or something, but we get a ton of "we are right in the thick of it/potentially leading" type comments only for the guy to commit elsewhere in the next week or so

If we lead for someone according to insiders, it's fine if we lose down the road. I just expect them not to commit elsewhere inside a month this early.

It's recruiting dude. These kids can change like the wind. Even the commits.

Besides, guys at 247 have said for a long while now that Benton is no lock.

A lot of Bama folks would take Rice over Benton and Ignont.

I wouldn't have until you said something about Rice being underrated some time back. Then I went and watched his HUDL and that is one sideline to sideline m'fing linebacker. I'll take this dude alllllll day. Plays with some "dog" in him just like he said about T-Will.

We fail at turning WRs into LBs, maybe we should take all the LBs and turn some into WRs.

Can't be much worse than our WRs production in recent years anyways

Not sure how much blame DC deserves. Normally I'd blame position coach, but then I remember Trooper Taylor WR production is unbelievably good. I refuse to believe Troop-a-loop is some master WR skill coach/teacher

Translation: every position coach on the team is to blame for their units lack of production... except the ones I personally like... it's not really their fault

Oh, I 100000% believe he's an infinitely better WR coach than DC. We absolutely have/had better pure talent at WR these past few years than we ever had under Troop, yet our WRs look lost out there...even the higher draft picks (Coates, Louis....throw Duke in there).

Not sure how you got that from what I said. I don't think DC was a good WR coach, I think overall we upgraded with Kodi. I just think WR coaches play less of a role than most other position coaches (except STC on K/P performance)

I think DC deserves blame, I just don't think he is the only thing holding back our WR production

shitty QB play was a gigantic factor.

But DC was for shite on teaching them how to block (or making them WANT to block) and just flat out showing them HOW to run routes and set up routes. Our guys just never looked crisp running routes.

looks like we're in for a big time battle for Mond now with A&M. We'll need to knock our visit with him out of the park next weekend. He and Ausbon visit TAMU this weekend.
