quote:Not why he was compared to Reuben. Word everywhere is his brain power is on par with Reuben's. That was the comparison. If the coaches want him then i'll trust them to smarten his arse up and get his behavior straight but reality is he is a head case right now.
He isn't the centerpiece of a recruiting class, doesn't have a tattoo and doesn't go to AU high school.
Don't bash on Holland because AU slacked on recruiting him and he went all UF during that time.

Just saw Texas lost their top QB commit. Any chance this helps at all with Burt or has that ship sailed?

I don't "care" about any player except those that sign with AU.
That being said, I hope Holland signs with AU.

Bawbarn compared him and in terms of his recruiting storyline though.
We got Junior Rosegreen All Sec and he probably can't tie his own shoelaces. I'm sure Muschamp can get him playing at a higher level than our current Marshmallow D

FWIW The AU Rivals writers said AU has a plan to get Holland qualified whatever that means.

Can he freakin tackle? Can he line up and fill a gap? If so, GD genius by comparison to some.

Just means they have a plan in place so that he qualifies if he does what it takes. Indicates that his SAT score isn't a massive problem if he gets grades done.
That or we have a stud SAT/ACT test taker waiting to be called into action

Anybody feel UT hiring this DeBord guy could help us with Williams &/or Patrick?

Qualification is such a wildcard because if a kid can pull off say a 25 ACT he basically needs to show up to class to qualify. It is the guys who scores sub 18 that are "grade risk" because then they need a 2.5+
You'll get a lot of kids who don't realize the need to qualify when HE FR/SO and be okay failing classes and stuff. Then they show up senior year realizing that if they had a 3.0+ they only need to write their names in the ACT /SAT to qualify

frick Rivals and Holland rubbing them the wrong way. Who gives a shite about a camp? Not even what I was referring to.

Having good academic advisors and admin people make a massive difference in getting kids qualified because once you realize how big an effect grades have, you can see where doors open to qualify. When a kid doesn't qualify, it means he probably should have failed out of school years ago
-Schools that let you replace grades when retaking classes (espeically retaking online)
-Moving to schools with more lax academic standards
-Moving to schools that have no academic standards
-Getting kids to sign up for some summer classes to add a few easy classes to their GPA
-Find an attainable SAT/ACT score + plan GPA needed
ETA: When I was in school, some of the things I was a part of put me in a position to see this stuff happen. Honestly it is impressive
