Take him, remind him that he is too little each day on his way to workout, add food, coaching, prosper.

AU hired former Homewood High coach and succesful coach through multiple places in Alabama Doug Goodwin to be Director of High School Relations which Al Pogue, formerly of Carver, did last year.

From Warchant.com
TThompson breaks down his Top 3:

Auburn:
- Every time he comes to Auburn he has a great time with Gus.
- Coach Gardner is a great coach, puts players in NFL, he likes him.
- Auburn makes sure their players pass, that they graduate.
- He likes Auburn a lot.

Georgia:
- First offer. Shows him love. Likes all the coaches.

FSU:
- "Coach Odell (Haggins) he's been going 20 years (at FSU) and he puts people in the league and Coach Fisher is a great coach. Then Coach Sal (Sunseri) that's one of my favorite coaches right there."
- FSU back on top and is a powerhouse.
- "Their defense is great."

bama had offered but he hadn't visited yet. Warmack said he said he liked that visit better than the AU visit. Duh. What else would a bama commit tell a bama recruiting site when asked how he compared the two?

Per his 247 timeline Darius "Dee" Smith from Florence has an AU offer. LINK

I read the quote. He was not asked to compare the 2. He volunteered the info but yeah, it's what you'd expect him to say.

Even still, Bama sites are saying they are behind UGA, AU, and FSU right now for Thompson.

We seem to be offering a lot of small LB's recently. Wonder why?

While his weight is low at 194-198, at 6'2 he can easily hold 235 lbs + on that frame.

True. Just seems like a lot of the kids we have been offering have been at or around 200 lbs. Hopefully that means the coaches are confident that they will have the time needed to grow and add the weight, without being greatly needed.

Outlier from most of the offers we have been throwing out recently. Just an observation.

"It's about even right now with Auburn and Alabama," Darrell Williams said.

He said he'd play more at Auburn, that bama has "a lot more quality players on defense at linebacker and defensive end." Finally! Perception-is-reality is working in our favor.

Bunker poster, autigers07, who E has a lot of faith in, and I have no reason to doubt either, says we will sign 3-4 of the following:

Trenton Thompson
Roquan Smith
D'Andre Walker
Natrez Patrick
Terry Godwin
Taj Griffin
Kaleb Kim

The list was generated within a discussion of AU-UGA battles.

My guess atm: Roquan, Natrez and Kaleb. 4th: D'Andre.

He later said this
quote:

JMO this early, but Smith, Kim and possibly both Walker and Patrick. If UGA thinks it will be easy to get Thompson or hold onto Godwin, then they are giving us an opening on both. We're coming hard and fast, and they won't be able to batten down the hatches quickly enough.

We're not getting Taj. We're likely taking KJ & Swinney and will be done at RB for this class.

I don't think we get Taj either ATP. TT, Walker, Kim and Smith. Godwin maybe. He and Thompson will be fights all the way.

Swinney and KJ @ RB.

FWIW in the highlights posted above on Dee Smith there are 2 plays he made on Roc Thomas, I behind the line and 1 he caught Roc from behind on a wide play.

I don't think we get him either, but we're recruiting him as a slot/ATH, not RB
