I remember hearing all last year that Evans wanted to get out of Auburn. Then I thought he was super high on AU and a lock

Now I have no idea who we will replace him with

It's not unusual a kid wants to go away for college. We've got other LBs in our sights. Evans is going to be good but he's not irreplaceable. Besides, this isn't over. Several commits are working him.

Mouhon, SDH, Ronnie freaking Clark (star), reappropriate Dante Booker (still don't know why we haven't even offered this kid).

I'm not surprised on Evans. He had some pretty negative comments on AU during the Foster/Dismukes deal.

Go ahead and call me what you will (I'm going to bed anyway),but I'm not getting a good vibe on recruiting right now.

Bama legacies are locks for Bama.

AU legacies always want out.

This is insulting.

Nothing note worthy there except Barton Simmons changing his pick from Auburn to FSU yesterday. Auburn has not been trending for him since a bit after BCW. Apparently he was not happy he did not get the love Nick Ruffin did at BCW.

I am just ready for the season to start. Winning or losing games will start pulling recruits our way or pushing them away. Right now they are like us and don't know exactly what to expect from the new coaching staff.

We're ahead -- according to his crystal ball page. Just saying. But interesting he'd begrudge his friend attention. Hmm.

It's not unusual yea but how many highly rated auburn high students have we signed? Opeilka? It seems like there's been a curse for years now. And of course any school close to Tuscaloosa that have great players go to Bama.

D'haquille notes
-Craig impresses him
-Auburn recruiting the hardest
-Still wide open
-visited Auburn 3 times (I only knew of 2. Maybe he was at BCW and escaped WarBloggle's attention)
- Will not commit til after the season now
-NFL not an option because he wants to experience college for a year

There has not been many high rated kids come from Auburn high til recently. The only 2 I can think of is Reuben (Georgia transplant) and Dee Finley (went to Florida but could not make the grades). There has been a player from Opelika on the team for the past 13-15 years.

Poor Warbloggle, everybody's whipping boy.

Thanks for the D'haquille info.

TT, have a Galdolfini kind of night.

So, this from Hoke:
Evans has given every indication that Auburn is higher on the list than what he named tonight.

Free strange quote from Evans
quote:

"The thing is, right now, it definitely could change. Just the way that everything is going with me and the relationship with the coaches, for some reason there’s a strong possibility that they’ll probably be No. 1 or 2."

Evan's Dad couldn't cut it mentally or physically at Auburn.

Evans is a frickin' Tennessee-Chattanooga legacy.

Like father, like son?

Who was the last one that was really sought after that we signed? Corey grant was the last one I can remember and he signed with Bama out of high school

LeMarcus Rowell?

Clayton wasn't really heavily sought after.
