FWIW Farrell is wrong on at least one thing. The chances of Auburn getting Reuben are very good after his Sunday visit with the staff. He loves the whole staff, not just CEJ.

Am I missing something re: Ole Miss? They've been a bottom feeder for nearly a decade and one 7-6 season later, all of our recruits are ditching us for them two years after a National Championship?

Freeze is good....and shady at the very least.
Shady how?
I've heard this as well, BUT we've had to hear the same shite about us for years, so -- in fairness to CHFreeze -- what ya got on the man.

I'm guessing the same reason Auburn is "shady." It seems any school that gets recruits people dont think they should, they automatically become shady. And most of the time it's not true.

May be related to the whole, "Mississippi legislature investigating hiring of Robert Nk's father at Ole Miss." which has been floating around the internet. Freeze also caught some heat during the Michael Orr recruitment that apparently has lingered.
With all that being said, we're Auburn so I don't see Ole Miss competing with us in the "shady" category either unless they've gone full Gump and are offering Dodge Chargers and Suits.
Also to be fair, it's not just Ole Miss. The fact that UNC and Tennessee are on Lawson's list is just as puzzling. UNC is UNC while Tennessee has only been slightly better than Ole Miss. Alabama, LSU, UGA, even Clemson are understandable, but out of the rest of our competition, Auburn seems like the best option

Was he at Ole Miss when that happened?

I think at some point we have to sit back and determine how paranoid we may be if we believe most of these things we hear about Freeze.

I like both of those guys but neither are privy to any back room/shady dealings that Hugh Freeze may be doing. Nobody is. This is the same bullshite Auburn fans dealt with from rival posters "in the know" that turned out to never know anything at all.

My bad. Did not realize it was you Jonesy. I was use to your Saban Avi.

quote:I've never heard anything on Freeze being shady at all. Just Ole Miss. Facts are, 99% of HCs don't get involved with the back room dealings and things like that. That is what boosters are for. Ole Miss is as dirty as it gets when it comes to that......on another note, this is usually only an issue with Mississippi kids. OM and Miss St. Know better than to play dirty on other people's turf. It's certainly not all kids or anything, but I'd say there's a few each year that you could put into that category.
2013 Auburn Football Recruiting Thread: Commits, Visits, Hot Prospects, etc... FWIW 2 respected members in Smuphy72 and WarEagleKK posted and tweeted about it last year when it happened.

So---completely random question---but whatever happened to Jovon Robinson after the scandal, etc.?

I'm hearing that Hermitage (Va.) 5-star RB Derrick Green may be visiting Auburn this weekend, but can't 100% confirm right now.

There's lots of viscosity with this one.

It's running through a pipe with a lot of girth.
