BVG said Clemson had the most complex Offense he had seen in college so maybe the defense will be better at reading the rest of the offenses this year.

Look, I'm not making excuses. We should have won that game, our defense should have been prepared for less Clemson huddles. Davis should have known Hopkin's go-to techniques in the end zone, etc.

We caught a lot of breaks from dropped balls. We shot ourselves in the foot with penalties on offense. I just believe that we'll eliminate some of those mistakes. Reed is going to look down at the ground the next time he's catching a TD pass in the back of the end zone. When Davis is out of position he's going to get his money's worth out of a PI flag. These are correctable issues.

It's not all doom and gloom. There will still be mistakes vs State next week and Frazier isn't suddenly going to have perfect command of his throws but I think there is no reason to believe it won't get better. We'll see. We've started seasons 0-2 before and we all survived

Good insight. But does anyone get nervous as frick when AU plays? I can't ever relax really unless we win or it's a few hrs after a loss. It's gotten worse since college.

Meh. Davis played pretty well. He made one big mistake and that was that he didn't fullout tackle Hopkins in the end zone on that fade pass by Boyd. Chris knew he wasn't in position and tried to get away with limited contact.

Yeah I guess I should have clarified a little. We didn't have anyone that could run with him every play. Davis could hold his own but they would just move Hopkins to T-Bell's side. On the redzone TD to Hopkins Davis looked like he wasn't sure if he should try and recover quickly or hand guard. I was always told that if you're going to get a PI you make damn sure you make it count and they don't catch the ball.

Another reason I think we went cover three was to bring the safety down as an extra man in the box to help with the run, even though it didn't really help

I was surprised at how relaxed I was leading up to this game. I figured I would be a little nervous/excited but I wasn't at all. The alcohol could have been a factor in that though

Did you watch "Remember The Titans" and the player was in the hospital and yelled at the nurse for interrupting his game?

My wife and kids say I'm that guy

I literally could not give a frick leading up to this game. But I started sobering up around the 3rd quarter and that oh so familiar emotion they call anger started glaring it's ugly head

Dude even with alcohol...I act excited and pissed during the game with the stomach nervousness through out the whole thing. I really wanted that game Saturday against that douche dabo.

A few years ago I decided to go with the pessimism route prior to every game. I just tell myself over and over we are going to lose and if it happens I'm not as pissed and if we win it's like Christmas morning. I started doing this in 2010 so it eventually turned into a superstition of mine.

I was shaking in my seat during the whole first quarter, but then I calmed down.

I was nervous as hell, so I started drinking way too early yesterday. By gametime I was beyond messed up. Had a couple of embarrassing incidents involving a girl and missed a large portion of the game. I'm going to go back and watch the replay in its entirety tomorrow.

One thing I could clearly see during the first quarter was how uncomfortable Frazier looks on the field. Right now he lacks the command you really want in your QB. Until he gains some confidence/swagger, our offense isn't going to get over the hump. Frazier is a great guy, low key and humble, but he needs to gain a little trust in himself and his abilities.

Maybe I shouldn't post when I've been drinking more often.

There's a reason I didn't comment on anything you said last night

After a game I'm incredibly level headed. During a game (especially on here in a character role) I'm off the wall as evidenced by my Dyer stuff last night

Sorta reminds me of how Campbell began his career at AU. I think he started with a loss to Syracuse?
