I don't know why, but I think Marshall comes out throwing, and throwing well.

And if he does, the run game will open big. Even if he tosses it 5 yards in front of a WR in full sprint, it could open the run game.

I watched the 4th quarter of the Mizzou game again and I was very impressed by James Franklin.
Now yeah, he's no James Winston who stands 6-4 232 to Franklins 6-2 230, and JW racked up nearly 4,000 yards to Franklins 2255.
Of course, JW played 13 games, Franklin 9. If you look at their total offense per game JW had 308.7, JF had 303.2
But what we are being told is FSU's advantage is their run defense which is 14th in the nation. Same place Missouri's was prior to the SEC Championship.
But also FSU has a lot of tall receivers and our DBs will struggle against their height. In terms of yards per game their top 5 stand (in order) 6-0, 6-5, 6-0, 6-3, 5-9.
Missouri's top 5 are 6-4, 6-6, 6-5, 6-2, 6-0.
Just an observation.

Franklin was a Sr that has seen alot so when we brought pressure he pulled through. Can Winston do the same? I know FSU o-line is better then Mizzou but I still think our speed rushers will get some pressure without blitzing.

Why can't ESPN present AU's road to the championship without commentators that just stated they both think FSU is going to win convincingly?
Why can't they just state the facts, the highlights of the year, and what made our team so great without mentioning why we will lose to FSU?
And how the hell do you talk about Auburn for 25 min straight and not once mention the offensive line?
ESPNU is trash.
So sick and tired of the bullshite "Auburn has run on teams all year long but FSU will stop them. Why? Because they just will.. all they do is run the ball and they can't pass."
DID YOU EVEN WATCH A SINGLE GAME THIS YEAR YOU NUMB NUTS ESPN AGENDA PUSHING a-hole?

Who the frick cares about ESPNU commentators' opinions. I'm genuinely asking.

Me... my jimmies are rustled. I want to watch national coverage of my Tigers that deserve respect. I want to watch everything AU before the game because you never know when a moment like this comes around again.

UGA will stop the run and force Auburn to pass. 323 rush yards
Alabama will definitely stop the run and force Auburn to pass, Nick Saban is midget Jesus. 296 rush yards
Missouri is so athletic and Auburn won't be able to run and will be forced to pass. 545 rush yards
Same story different game. I still think we throw not only to throw FSU off but for recruiting

I think we throw because nick Marshall finally has time to learn the offense and get used to it. He hasn't had time nor the need to learn to pas

The difference is we have a kick arse O Line that can pretty much manhandle any team, not to mention their great technique. You add in a running machine like Mason with a Prosch in front of him, and it is trouble for those who play us. We will win that interior line battle on both sides of the ball. Conditioning will play a role in this game as well, AU will win in that area too.

I could see Marshall as the MVP of the game if it goes the way I want it too.
Anyone remember 2004 BCS NCG? Heisman Trophy-winning QB Jason White (completed only 13 of his 37 passing attempts for just 102 yards.

I think people who watch Auburn see some sort of scatback team running a gimmick option offense that can be easily crushed when playing a good defense.
But the one thing they don't consider is Auburn is big, fast and strong. Even if you know what's coming that doesn't mean you can stop it.
Missouri again was 11-1 and 14th in the nation against the run prior to the SECCG and 11-2 and 51st after.

FSU and Mizzou are very similar on paper I'm sure the players and coaches have made those comparisons behind closed doors and will draw on their experience in that game since it was the last one they played. I don't think FSU will be able to stop or contain the run so I'll be disappointed if Marshall 'comes out throwing'. The latter part of this season the OL and Prosch have dominated the line of scrimmage—I don't see how the extra time to prepare changes this. Nick Marshall is also very deceptive not just with the ball but on the exchange. I doubt FSU will be able to replicate this much less what happens after Marshall or Mason gets the ball.

Mizzou/FSU may have some similarities on paper, but they're very different teams. Even before the SECCG, Mizzou was giving up a bunch of yards against a pretty mediocre schedule. And while both teams good offenses, their philosophies are totally different. Mizzou wants to spread you out and hit the quick passes.... FSU wants to play fake and hit you deep.
Also, MU may be deeper at the WR position, but FSU has the better top end talent with benjamin and greene... Oleary is also a great TE.
