Hoping and praying the Brewers SS comes to Atlanta.

SS is a hard position to upgrade. I think Arcia is the opening day SS, and he instead goes big on an upgrade in left field.

He's gonna cost a haul.
I agree with VA, the upgrade will come in LF. And you can live with Arcia's bat if all of the other position players hold their weight just due to his defense alone.

Why do people talk about Arcia like he's Andrelton Simmons?

He's not, but his defense is still really, really good.

The Braves have been sellers thus far this winter.
With it looking like Acuña is out for the first month or so. I imagine the Braves will not make any big splashes and see where they stand when Acuña comes back.
If he comes back and they are in it I see them making a decent trade to compete or make a run. If not I imagine the Braves will be sellers at the deadline. The window is closing faster than any of us imagined but AA’s overall lack of either willingness or ability to make the moves in 22 or 23 are what has put the Braves in this position. Call it what you like and I’d take a decade of upper mid level of baseball to win a World Series like they did in 21. Never know what may happen in the playoffs.
