Must suck to want to be somewhere you’re not wanted. But welcome I guess. Wear your saints stuff to games so we can identify you correctly.
It’s the Atlanta Braves. We’re in this together.

Since when does a Braves fan HAVE to be a Falcons and Hawks fan? You have this crazy view on Saints fans and Atlanta fans. I realize there is a lot of shite talk between the two cities. Quite frankly I could give two shits. I live in Mississippi where NOLA is closer than ATL. I grew up going to Braves games in the summer and Saints games come fall. Loads of fans are the same way in the SE. Why make this an Atl Nola pissing match. Both have great teams in their cities and both are actually amazing cities. Why shite on one fan on the board that just wants to talk Braves baseball? We aren’t bringing the Saints up on here you are.

Its not like I'm a Yankees, Lakers and Patriots fan. You guys don't realize Saints is Mississippi. I've never seen or heard someone a Falcons here. I get Every Saints game on Fox40 or CBS.
Now I became a Braves from the TBS games. And now get every game on Fox Sports South and Southeast.

Honestly, I think the general consensus is this:
Saints fans, especially after Super Bowl LI have been nothing short of the most abhorrent douche bags that could be encountered in sports, or society. That, combined with their general disdain for Atlanta because we seem to enjoy capitalist pursuits versus clinging to a culture that embraces laziness, alcoholism, and an ultra-centralized old-boy network of doing business (how's all that going btw, NOLA?) further accelerate the disdain.
As for the Braves, they've done a lot of good work the past 2 years to re-embrace the city of Atlanta since ostracising some citizens for their abrupt move to Cobb and the Braves Country campaign of years past. The new slogan this season "For the A," which, if you've seen the promotions, embraces the diversity, growth, success, and rich history of our city - Atlanta. You won't see "Braves Country" anywhere, anymore. When you get to ~7M residents and growing, you're done appeasing anyone else.
Because you align with New Orleans, you basically align yourself with the wrong side of a rivalry that goes beyond football. It's not that you cheer for another football team. Hell, cheer for the Patriots. It's that you cheer for them. The bumbling, morally bankrupt, cock-sucking franchise off of Poydras.
Cheer for whoever you want during baseball season. But when you come to Atlanta as a Saints fan, the aforementioned is why you won't be getting a hug, high-five, or good service if you make that known.

No l like Atlanta more than New Orleans by far. I'm not a huge drinker so there's 75% of New Orleans. We pass through Atlanta every year and go to Braves games at Turner Field and now Truist. NOLA is a bit to small with limited options to do.

This is stupid.. Why not embrace the fact that we are all Brave's fans and move on. As a Saints fan I don't come on this board shitting on the Falcons or Atlanta. I love Atlanta, the fans, and the baseball team.

It's no different in New Orleans. I live in NO and I'm a Braves/Falcons/Alabama fan. I don't expect to "fit in" around here when it comes to sporting events.
I wouldn't expect it would be any different in ATL or any other city.
If I went to a Pelicans game and happened to bring up the Braves or Falcons, I probably would also not be getting any high 5s or hugs, etc.

Because you have no rooting interest in any team in NOLA... You proved my point.

You're a rare breed then.
Anyways, excited for this season but still think there are too many holes in the lineup unless Riley hits like he did when he first came up.

Never shitted on the Falcons here. There's no time, place and manner on this board. Only exception is Saints vs Falcons

I haven't heard this yet. This is good stuff and a smart move by the Braves. While it's cool to hear the chant through the TV when the Braves are on the road, I care more about filling up the stadium with Braves fans when we play the Cubs, Red Sox, Yankees, etc. I think the move was a huge success, and now it's time to build off of that momentum before things get stale like they did at Turner Field.

I wasn't trying to prove or disprove anyone?
What always riles me up is people on the Saints board shitting on GA or Atlanta specifically just because they don't like the Falcons. Living here, I know that a LARGE portion of New Orleans and Louisiana's population in general is born here and has hardly left the state. Yet they make fun of Atlanta and have never been there.
I'd venture to say that a large majority of Falcons/ATL people in general have been to NO. Yet the inverse is not true. Most people from NO have not been to ATL (or anywhere else).

Petition to remove all Saints fans regardless of their baseball affiliation from the ASB. frick em all
Posted on 2/6/20 at 7:39 pm to DawgCountry
Why remove me? I have yet to shite post Atlanta or the Falcons? I love the city and the Braves. Can we move the hell on and talk damn baseball? Spring training is right around the corner.

He will be fine I think. I am excited to see his potential.

I honestly think we're set at 3 base. Good off season so far.

Not rare at all. Probably the most common in Miss and parts of Bama.
I can't remember the last time I went to a baseball game in NOLA?
If I'm kicked out of the ATL board what do I do? Become a Astros fan? Or maybe Cardinals? You tell me because that's apparently how it goes. This is a ATL board and all I want is to talk baseball.
