Up 3-1 and couldn’t close the deal.

Pitching experiment gone wrong in Game 5.

Horrible base running.

That double play.

The extra strike the Dodgers got that extended the inning where they then put up 2 runs.

Mookie Betts robbing Freeman of a HR in Game 7.

Corey Seager.

1999.

1995

Braves, why do I love thee?!

Chop on.

Yea I’m still sort of salty. My only solace is that we’re a young team and can get back. We really must resign Ozuna and d’arnoud though for sure.

For me, would have been much easier to digest had the Dodgers not been down 3-1 to set up the inevitable Atlanta sports choke/heartbreak situation.

There was no pitching experiment gone wrong in game 5. You either had to go with a bullpen game, bring back Kyle Wright again (no thanks), start Josh Tomlin (no thanks), or go with Fried on short rest (which I don't think he's ever done before).

They started with Minter and he was absolutely brilliant for 3 innings. Our Will Smith, Experienced Veteran Closer who we signed for 3yrs/$40mil last offseason, just shite the bed.

The pitching depth wasn't there, and the no days off didn't help things.

Don't blame you at all for melting, though. I am right there with you.

At least your football team didn't also lose this weekend.

Braves have been garbage for a while now and will continue to be for the foreseeable and unforeseeable future.

The last 2 years have been fun and then heartbreaking.

I just keep telling myself that we have very young team and will have our chances in the coming years.

I know. I know it was the right call. But I wish Minter had stayed in longer.

But giving up 11 runs in the first inning in Game 3 certainly didn’t help jack shite

Has this been addressed? The count was 3-2. Batter swings a misses. 3rd our right? But he wasn’t called out and still stayed at bat. Dodgers scored 2 runs after this when they should have been out. What have here?

True. But I’m also a Cowboys and Dallas Stars fan: been a rough sporting year for me.

Pitching did not lose games 5-7. Lack of hitting, stranding base-runners, stupid base-running, etc cost us those 3 games.

The Dodgers were a terrible matchup for him. He is good when he gets swings and misses on that nasty slider. They somehow spit on it all series long (probably something to do with familiarity with him because he pitched for the Giants for awhile) and made him throw batting practice fastballs over the heart of the plate.

This team swept their way to the NLCS, I'm not melting at all. Great season.

I would love to understand the psychology here. Blow another huge lead to miss out of the first WS of the century and still find it within yourself to feel satisfied.

I'm probably just skipping out on baseball for the foreseeable future until we are back in an NLCS. I just don't have it in me anymore.

d'Arnaud is on a two year deal. He'll be back next year. After that we need our catcher prospects to step up and produce.

Didn't want to win under these circumstances anyway.

If anything, they overachieved. They weren't supposed to take the Dodgers to 7 games in the NLCS, not this year anyway. They are a year or two ahead of schedule. The lack of starting pitching depth and no off days caught up w/them.

This is where losing Soroka hurt.

Get a little perspective here.

They didn’t. The dodgers took the Braves to 7 games. The Braves were up 3 games -1, meaning they had about an 85% chance of winning the series. They then proceeded to lose the next 3.
