So my comment about the Saints is obviously because I live in New Orleans. Proximity is the factor, I understand that.
Maybe that's also why I don't know of or haven't heard any UGA fans talking crap. I listen to 790 The Zone in Atlanta a lot and did a ton the last 2 weeks leading up to that CFB NC game. They seemed pretty respectful of Alabama but at the same time optimistic. So were all their callers.
Compare that to Saints radio here on WWL and it's night and day.

Saints won The Super Bowl Feb. 7, 2010.
When was the last time y’all won one?

Lowest common denominator comeback. Also, you completely glossed over the point to try and make fun of the Falcons.
Literally EXACTLY my point. Almost boring to argue with Saints fans because you'll only hear:
1) No Superbowl - irrelevant from saints vs falcons
2) 28-3 - irrelevant from saints vs falcons
There's just so much more to make fun of that can be more entertaining. For example, as a Falcons fan, I could laugh at:
1) Payton's Vicodin addiction
2) The fact that he looks like a squirrel with drew's nuts in his cheeks
3) Drew Brees's Advocare pyramid scheme
Saints fans could laugh at:
1) Dan Quinn looks like Stone Cold Steve Austin
2) Devonta Freeman can't ride the adult rides at Six Flags in ATL
3) Matt Ryan looks like a public school librarian
Ok, I was bored and just randomly made those up.

There’s two clubs in the NFL.
Organizations that have won a SUPERBOWL.
Organizations that haven’t won a SUPERBOWL.
Join our club and you’ll be less bored.

Hey, I hope to one day. To be 1000% honest though, in some dark weird part of me, I enjoy the hunger of craving that 1st super bowl. There's something more magical about it.
Just as an example, had we just maintained and won last years Super Bowl, I'd already be content with where ATL got to this year even if we got bounced by Philly this week. I'd have lost that hunger for it.
Almost the same with Alabama this season. I'm more concerned with seeing how good Tua and the other freshman can be and would love to win another NC next year but if we played UGA again, a small part of me would be happy if they won it.
It might just be me but I actually enjoy the thirst for that 1st taste of magic.

It’s not weird...it’s true.
After the initial celebrating there was actually a let down.
Most Saints fans didn’t even care if we sucked and had several 7-9 seasons!
I’ve been a Saints fan since their inception (1967).
I know what losing is all about!

That is far from true, as this year was a saving grace for Sean Payton.
This isn't Saints Talk, so I won't get into that.

No one in their right mind would accept 8 years or whatever of mediocrity just because a Super Bowl was won leading up to that period of time. Coaches in the college ranks and pros have been fired just a handful of years after winning a title if they regress too much.
Just look at Les Miles. Dude won a championship and played for another and was run out of town 4 years later.

Jeff Ireland was a saving grace for spayton! :)

Considering we made the playoffs in Payton's tenure 3 straight years after the Super Bowl, and were one play away in 2011 to hosting the NFCCG, I figured 2014/2015 were excusable. 2016 gave me some hope, and this year was a make-or-break season for him. I certainly didn't have any expectations of winning the division, but he needed to show significant improvement (7-9 would've made him gone).
So it wasn't true mediocrity until the past three seasons, but a fourth season of that would've gotten him canned.

Exactly, and with still some pretty damned good success compared to Payton.

Spayton signed a 5 year contract extension, at the end of the 2016 season, making him one of the, if not the highest paid coaches in the NFL.

It's stupid that this is what you call him.

No, it was at the end of the 2015 season and was a 5 year deal keeping him here until 2020. Still, at the end of the 2016 season, there was talks of a trade involving Payton.

In your history after the SUPERBOWL...you conveniently left out the “lost year”.

It wasn't conveniently left out, he didn't coach that year, so it's not something that I held him accountable for. We were talking about HIS performance as a Head Coach.
Also, he signed it in March of 2016, so the end of the 2015 season. I'm not sure what your point is, once again.

Not sure how you would know that “he would have been gone”.
Is that a generalization or your opinion, or fact?
And as a fan I would hold him responsible for the “lost year” but that’s just my opinion.
