His offensive play calling is offensive.

Real bad.

Yes, he deserves a contract extension.

It would take a 0-6 start or similar.

Grab a few wins...start out 2-2 and his job is safe for the year.

He should be fired today. 9 months to prepare for this, everyone coming back, months to critique an offensive scheme that is molded to our players talents, oh and draw up some red zone plays.

Sadly, it feels like we're about to piss away a season again, just like we did last year. Last year they kept making an excuse for him of being new and that he needed time to learn his players. Well, what's the excuse this year Dimitroff and Quinn? He just had 9 months to plan.

We have one of the most talented rosters in the league and it's being wasted. It's hilarious and rather embarrassing that they had to bring him down from the booth this year in hopes that would help him. We gave Julio more money only to have Sark bench him on 3rd and 4th down in the red zone.

I hope Dimitroff and Quinn had a meeting with Sark this morning and gave him a red zone scoring percentage he must make during the next few games or else he gets the axe. I hope.

I'm not sure we can afford to start out 2-2 with the way the schedule is frontoaded with home games.

I hope so.

I was so disappointed when y’all let Mike Smith go.

But I think this staff can be a keeper.

Seems like a perfect connection between HC, OC, and QB.

People were saying the same thing about Shanahan 2 years ago after they opened the season with a home loss to TB and look how the offense turned out.

Take it from someone who used to follow Falcons football closely for years. There is no path to a championship for the Atlanta Falcons. They are destined to be what they are. To answer the OP's question, it really doesn't matter if he makes it through the season or not, if the offense started producing the defense would fall apart.
If both units were producing coaching errors would blow the game. That super bowl against New England showed anyone all they needed to know about Falcon football, it's fools gold.

So what else does Shanahan and Sark have in common, besides getting to year 2 as the OC for the Falcons under Quinn? Anything else that they have in common that would make you think that since Kyle made the jump from year 1 to year 2, then Sark must do the same too? Surely you aren't basing your belief that year 2 of Sark is going to be better just because some other coach did better in year 2 vs his year 1? You got to have some other info beside just that coincidence? Surely you aren't that returded?

Yes, they were absolutely were. People fricking hated Shanahan after 2015. He was the team's scapegoat then, and a ton of people were calling for his head.
