I've now been to the following home games this year.
Opening Night - Phillies - Walk off W (solid)
4/20 - Mets - 13 Inning loss
5/4 - Giants - 9-4 beatdown loss
5/17 - Cubs - rainout
6/2 - Nats - 14 inning loss
1-3 with a rainout, a beatdown loss and 2 13/14 inning losses (both with a 3 year old and a 6 year old who gutted out both games)
Single worst season ticket draft ever.

Going 7-7 over the last 14 against the Phillies, Red Sox, Mets and Nationals, while scuffling at the plate and without Soroka or Acuna is damned impressive.
We gutted the last 3 weeks out like a veteran team does when they don't have their best against some really dang good baseball teams.

Yep, our team balance (not having to solely rely on either pitching or hitting) has enabled us to whether some minor storms. We've had starters who struggled but an offense who overcame, and we've had a struggling offense bailed out by some clutch hitting and great pitching.
Eliminate those losing streaks that go on for 4+ games and you have the makings of a team that will compete in September.

I'd like to request that you stop going and give your tickets to me LOL
I've been to the following:
6/1 - Folty CG SO
5/19 - 8-1 win over Miami; Newk pitched a 6 inning gem
5/4 - Folty blow up against SF; my one blemish on the season
4/16 - Teheran pitched a 6 inning gem to beat Philly 2-1
I've been lucky to see 3 really good (1 great) pitching performances so far with that Folty turd thrown in to keep me humble.

West coast swing this week at SD and LA. Sucks the games come on so late, but I'll be able to catch some the Wednesday game, starts at 3:40pm.

Yep - the goal at this point should be no sweeps. Baseball is such a one game swing game over a long haul that if you can make sure you steal at least 1 game in every series you have a great shot at sticking around. We did that beautifully in Philly and Boston.
We've got what on paper is a winnable stretch coming up. This of course means we will go 8-12 over it.

Watching Braves live, the Padres have 3 guys under .200 in the batting lineup. Still have to watch out for Jankowski, Renfroe and Galvis they said. And Padres are rebuilding and last in the NL in everything almost. Buttttt they have a great home record against the Braves. Lets get a sweep!

Always a struggle at Petco for some reason.

Man, that Richard guy got the Braves 3 up 3 down in the 1st... even Freddie.

I wonder if the Braves fans in attendance outnumber the Padres's home fans.
