Tomorrow's Newk vs deGrom... I smell a pitcher's duel.

Offensively we don't miss a beat. Defensively, I hate losing Lt Dan

He's taken a nice step forward this year. Hes been great at defense and hopefully his bat comes around even more in 2019.

Braves twitter says Swanson is out for the regular season for treatment... but that isn't long. Playoffs?

Four innings of predictable pitcher's duel so far, everybody still awake?

I have no idea how severe a torn wrist ligament is. I'd imagine it can get painful if stressed the wrong way, but probably feels fine when it's not used.

I wish Joe and Chip talked half as much about Newk as their shared man-crush deGrom.

Degromm is good and there were a lot of people wanting Atlanta to make a move for him at the break. But it'd cost us a fortune to get him. We'd lose several prospects and I'm not willing to do that.

I'm guessing the Braves asked the Mets to trade him and they said only for Acuna so the Braves said nevermind we'll just call Baltimore.

The Mets are like the nationals in that they can't figure out if they want to do a full rebuild or not.

Too bad he gave up 2 homers, hope deGrom isn't in the 9th so the Braves can try to comeback.

Too bad the Braves lost 3-0. Hope they win the series though.

deGrom is the best pitcher in baseball and he had A+++ stuff tonight. Write this one off, and we won't see a pitcher as good as him in the playoffs.

yep, thank goodness we won't have to face him in the playoffs. he's had our number (along with pretty much everyone else) all year.

i'm glad the Mets decided not to trade him.
