Snit baby's pitchers too much. None of our guys can build confidence because they know they'll be pulled out after a certain number of pitches.

I need at least a 10 run lead to be confident for those guys, that wasn't the game to put him in imo, but since he made it through he'll be the one to get put in a tough spot again.

btw, nice throw ender! saved biddle and the barely there lead.

Braves won 1-0! Yep like you said W for Bryce Wilson, but also save for Winkler and Markakis got the only RBI. Losing streak over!

After the last 4 games I fully expected to lose that in the 9th.

So glad the Braves didn't mortgage the farm for Archer. The asking price was something like Ian Anderson and Austin Riley.

If were going to trade some farm pitchers then it needs to be for an everyday guy. I'd love realmuto.

Anybody got the latest on Shane Carle? That man is one of the main reasons we're in this thing.

I mentioned Realmuto as a possible trade target in the MSB Braves thread. The 2018 rotation will have Gausman, Folty, Newcomb, and Soroka as likely locks. That leaves Wright, Toussaint, Wilson, Gohara, and Freid competing for a fifth spot. I think Freid is ultimately destined for the bullpen because of his blister issues. Allard isn't even in the discussion at this point. There will be a surplus of premier pitching in Gwinnett that can be used to get a big time position player.

I'd even be open to including Newcomb in a deal for someone like Realmuto because of his consistency issues, but if Newcomb is involved it would either be straight up or Newcomb and one other low level prospect.

ETA: If you're worried about trading away pitching depth, there's another wave of arms in the low minors that'll be almost equally scary. Ian Anderson may be the highest upside pitching prospect in the entire system. Joey Wentz, Kyle Muller, and Patrick Weigel also have a lot of potential. Weigel may have debuted last year but he had Tommy John in the middle of the season.

I'm with you on all that except Newk. Like Dansby, he's been asked to do more than needed at a very young age. I checked like 3 weeks ago and Newk was the most worked pitcher for us.

It would really suck to trade him, but you have to give up something to get something. Folty is completely off limits in my opinion and they just gave up a good bit for Gausman. Julio won't have much trade value.

We could have used either Adams or Murphy and apparently didn't make an attempt at either. St Louis and Chicago respectively got each guy for peanuts. Very frustrating.

The Braves sent Wilson down to Gwinnett and called up Reed again. Wish they'd keep the good ones and send down the bad but what else is new.

No score til the 5th then Swanson hit a 2 run homer! 2-0 Braves, hope Gausman can keep the shutout going as long as he can cause bullpen comes in after that, yikes.
