Yeah I was bummed when the Dodgers got that hit in the 9th with 2 outs. They took Newcomb out and put in Winkler then he gave up a run charged to Newk. Then he got an out and the Braves won 4 to 1.

I hope if they keep Brach in ATL that the pitcher that might get optioned to the minors is one of Sam F/Peter M/Luke J/Ryan F but they always seem to find a way around what I'd want to see and leave the ?'able people right where they can do the most damage.

Talking chop saying Allard may start tomorrow against the marlins since he was pulled and Gohara pitched instead. Twitter conspiracy theorists saying scouts wanted a look at Gohara before a trade happens.

possible conspiracies related to Allard being "scratched":
1) Braves wanted to showcase Gohara. While I think this is a possiblity, someone "in the know" apparently poo-pooed the suggestion according to DOB
2) Braves are considering a trade of one of their MLB starters -- Fried, Sanchez, or Teheran the likely candidates. If Atlanta was considering trading them, then I would imagine that they wanted to have Allard available to fill in
3) the simplest answer which is almost always the right answer is that they wanted to given an extra day of rest and wanted to give Allard the opportunity to debut.

What do you guys think about Newcombs comments? It may be high schoolish lingo, talk, whatever you want to call it. It’s a shame we have that character on our roster. This makes John Rocker look like a angel.

I don't care that he made those comments when he was 18.
I don't care about Hader's comments.
I don't care about Turner's comments.
I do care about that pedophile up at Oregon State regardless of the age, because I've seen how people who were sexually assaulted/abused turn out in their later years. That shite actually affects someone. The only way someone can be affected by these tweets/comments are if they are delicate and sensitive snowflakes and I couldn't care less if they get their feelings hurt.

(a) quoted rap lyrics for the "racist" part, which is stupid but not at all racist
(b) regardless of whether they should or shouldn't, millions of high school boys who came up between 1995-2015 said the word "fig" or called things "gay" for almost everything. Was it good? No, probably not. Was it prevalent EVERYWHERE especially on sports teams amongst high school kids? Yes.
The main takeaways for me are (a) boy am I glad to was out of high school right before FB/Twitter took off and (b) anybody who doesn't scrub their social media should fire their agent immediately.

i think most rational people are starting to take these "reports" with a big grain of salt now. as long as you don't get accused of fondling young children or physically assaulting someone, you should be ok in the long run.
meanwhile, Allard was officially called up and will start Tuesday, and Kyle Wright is being promoted to AAA to take Allard's spot.
That makes me think that Allard is expected to remain with the team for a bit. I don't think they'd bother with promoting Wright to fill that spot if there was a chance Allard would start and immediately get sent back down.
