He turned down a 5-yr/$140 mil offer from the Braves which had a higher yearly average than what he signed for with the Dodgers, not to include the tax hit he’ll take in California state taxes. I guess he really wanted that sixth year…either that or his agent thought the Braves would cave…

It’s was more than abundantly clear he wanted to go home before last season. His comments were loose and disingenuous about staying here. The way things played out it’s pretty obvious contract negotiations were over before last season and the Olson deal and extension were verbally agreed do long before the lockout was over. It all happened to fast to say otherwise. I’m excited about this team and our roster for years to come.
