We really had to have that game. I would have let Tyler pitch another inning, essentially putting all my eggs in this game. We won't win a game out there, they are way better, and we have lost now 11 of 12 or something in Dodger Stadium. Its possible we can win a game 6. Luke Jackson had a great season facing the trash heap that is the NL east, but its a different stage now. I knew he would blow it, probably several others did too.

When Jackson took the mound the entire Dodgers lineup and even the crowd were like sharks with blood in the water. You could feel what was coming from 100 miles away.

This series. Is. Over.

Agree.
I was sitting there fuming last night and thinking “is there a city in the country that has 3 or more of the big 4 pro sports teams that has gone longer than Atlanta without a title?”

Minneapolis was the only one I could think of.

Good grief. We may lose the series, sure, but this pessimism is ridiculous. I mean, damn, we are up 2-1 on the Dodgers and we still have two games left in Atlanta.

We absolutely still have a chance and you guys have completely written the Braves off already. Have some hope instead of taking the easy way out and assuming the worst. What a terrible way to watch post-season baseball.

I'm not doom and gloom about the rest of this series, but seriously last night's game was an abomination in terms of managerial decisions. Matzek should've been left in the game and they should've walked Mookie.

I agree with Niner here. We dominated that game last night until Luke Jackson happened. We can bounce back and have 2 more at Truist Park.

We got this, we blew it last night but every game is played in a vacuum in the post-season. We win tonight, they still have to beat us 3 games in a row.

I hear you but I’m not hopeful about a team in this town.
1 title in the history of the city in any of the big 4 sports. And that was 26 years ago.
And if we are honest, the 90’s was more failure than anything.

Jesus, some of y'all are too negative. If we lose tonight, we're still ok with 2 more games at home. We just need to sneak 1 win at LA over the next 2 games.

Snit was absolutely stupid to put Luke Jackson in the game in that situation.
Who should have Snit used? Webb, Smyly, Chavez, or C-Mart?

I wouldn't have used Will Smith, not because he is the closer and it was the 8th, but if the 5-6-7 hitters get nailed down you have Smith facing 8 (Taylor who has been a tough out) - 9 (a PH, probably Beaty) - 1 (Betts).

Jackson had some bad luck. Two weakly hit balls got runners on then Bellinger hit a HR on a 95 MPH fastball (Bellinger hit .150 vs. FBs in the regular season) that was 5 inches above the zone, exactly where d'Arnaud was calling the pitch.

And I have been as critical as anyone of Luke Jackson.

I hope that for those of y'all that quit and give up, you're the same people that don't celebrate a WS birth or even a WS win.

Do y'all give up on UGA that easily? If so, just hand Bama the title now.

To be fair Luke Jackson hit his spot it was just a bad pitch call

It was not a bad pitch call. Bellinger had not been able to hit up in the strike zone all season, let alone FBs like Murph said.
