Looks like a terrible pick now huh? Dont ever take a rb that early.

It was a terrible pick. As was Penix. Current success does not change that.

You're learning

NFL running games are solely dependent on the blockers and have very little to do with the runner himself. The RB should be the last piece added to an already loaded roster. The Falcons were nowhere near contention when they drafted Bijan that high and they're still nowhere near contention.

With Atlanta fans philosophy they would never be in contention. By the way the best way to build a line is in FA. If you go back through history most dynasties built their teams with top picks of QB, RB, WR. Robinson will be in contention for best overall offensive player in the NFL.

Then again most of the fans here thought signing Cousins was a good idea and thought we should have went after Watson. Both extremely dumb moves.

I think we could have done better in the long run not taking Penix and going after Dart this last draft but we will see. Both these rookies in the secondary are playing very good. Especially Watts.

We may see Cousins if Penix doesn’t stop overthrowing his receivers.

It doesn't matter how many shiny toys (skill players) you draft when your team blows on the lines of scrimmage like the Falcons do. They can't run block, they can't stop the run, and they can't pass block long enough to let anything develop downfield.

I have never met a fan who thought Watson was a good idea at the time or in hindsight. Arthur Blank should send Jimmy Haslam a Christmas card every year.

I remember tons of fans here wanting the Falcons to go after Watson when he left Houston.

Sure would have been nice to have a monster on the defensive line at any point in this game

I didn’t notice either of the recent first round picks at all

A big part of that is the interior of the defensive line is undersized and softer than baby shite. Much easier to wipe out edge rushers when the middle of the DL doesn't demand extra attention.

Someone like Jalen Carter might have fixed that, but the Falcons chose another shiny toy instead.

Yea but that other shiny toy is a top 5 player in all the NFL. There is no way in hell I'm trading Bijan for Jalen. Now they could have not went and paid Cousins all that money or drafted Penix and they could have got Fields for damn near nothing. Fields looked pretty freaking good today.

I remember the day he was picked. I do not understand how the GM we have is qualified in any way to be a GM, an assistant GM, or a janitor. I really do not understand it, make me understand.

I'm a moron and I would just sit there and pick the best defensive players off the the best SEC teams, yeah, kinda like the Eagles. That seems to work.

The glaring hole in this team is interior DL. Jalen Carter would add much more to this team’s success.

Fields may have done well yesterday but his overall body of work is below average.

Anyone would look good against the Steelers secondary. And I'm a Steelers fan.

Fields is not a good QB.

Sell the team.
