That was one of my favorite games of the season. Loved the fact they went cross-continent on short rest with several backups and pretty much controlled the game. Sure we all want more goals (and but for Vancouver's GK's outstanding effort ATL probably would have had a couple more), but this defense is playing outstanding and the whole system seems to really be coming together. All that is missing is being a little better finishing the attacks.

6-2-3 now and only 4 points back of DC United with 2 games in hand - so virtually right there at the top of the standings after the very slow start.

Only 8 goals against in 11 matches is insane.

Yeah. We feel like a more complete team and less dependent on one or two players like last year.

It definitely feels very different from last year, and yet this team feels really interesting still. Goals galore from last year were certainly entertaining and brought on a lot more casual fans, but the total quality of play of late has been incredibly good.

I think last year we scored a lot more goals than our xG would predict. We've had a lot of the same chances this year, but the only difference is the keepers have made some great saves, we've hits the post, etc.

Agreed. It's still exciting offense even if the goals aren't coming as easily/frequently.

Man, F the Red Bulls. Atlanta always plays like shite in New Jersey. When NYRB went a man down I just knew that Atlanta was going to mess around and end up with a 0-0 draw or lose 0-1.

Oh well shake that off, find a way to scratch out one more road win at RSL and then come back to friendly confines of Mercedes-Benz. Have 3 more games before the big break in June. Decent chance to win all three and be sitting right there at the top of the standings.

Barco is back after the break correct?

United looked really tired yesterday but still no excuse to not get at least one point with them down a man.

Game was nice today. Took my wife. We seemed to largely control the game despite the stat sheet indicating even possession percentage and I think slightly more shots on goal for Chicago...

Had some beautiful offensive possession/passes even when they didn't net good shot attempts. Also, officials allowed some pretty aggressive shite from Chicago on defense a couple of times... Will be interested to watch replay to see if it was as egregious as it seemed in person in real time.
